2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Ordered my Mega Cab Laramie HO on 12/31, estimated build date WAS 3/21. Well, the truck was not close to being built on 3/21, update today from dealership is new build date of 5/16.

Looks like at least 6 months to build the Unicorn! DAMN!
D!

Well I may be ordering my truck again. Dealer is looking into what they can do. So this truck may be available for someone to buy if we can't make this one work for me.
I suspected this would be a problem when I ordered, but I was assured that it would come as desired.
When building online the website shows option of 52 & 22 gallon fuel tank. There is also a choice of 22 gallon tank. The 52 & 22 defaults to a diesel. I was concerned the 22 option would be in place of the standard 52 gallon tank and not in addition to it. Turns out I was correct despite the Stellantis rep telling the dealer that it was in addition to and not in place of.
I hate it when I'm right.
I doubt they can add the 52 gallon tank as that would entail plumbing, electric, evap and software changes. Seems like a large undertaking. The 52 is a rear mount and the 22 midship.
I don't know why they wouldn't allow both in a gasser.IMG_4046.jpg

Mine is built, waiting to ship. I don’t think that’s a parts thing. Wonder what’s up. Others are shipping. As from what I can see on here. Might be a ten mile long line of built trucks waiting to ship.
Maybe the 3500s are scooting to the front of the line while they pull the 2500s back in to re-flash software for the ABS indicator recall?

That's odd when we get twin tank gassers all the time.

First time posting here, but can anyone on here help tell me on where my truck might be. Ordered Jan. 6th. VIN# 3C63RRHL4NG240698

I asked dealer to dig a bit deeper on the delays. Here is what he said.

"Right now they are waiting on the 12" radio and bed utility group. There must of been a shortage of parts for those 2 groups."

If I guy had only known, I would have maybe ordered a bit different. I want my truck for camping season, and if I need to start shopping I will. Like I said in the past, I spent $500 in worse ways. And besides, I found a Chevy 2500 LTZ Gasser with dam near everything I ordered on my Ram, for 15,000 less MSRP!!!! The only things I wouldn't get would be a 12" screen and Rear suspension airbags.

I though the same thing. But my dealer said they would do that at the dealership. It’s a quick fix . Although you could be right. Just flashing them there in storage when they get to them.

December 18 - Received email from RAM acknowledging my order and telling me my VIN (which I had for 5 months at that point) - thanks Ram!
January 2022 - it’s cold out and still nothing
February 2 - D1 status with estimated ship date of 2/21

Dealer just text me, I am now official D status, I guess I wasnt even in D before I misunderstood. They had a gas HD truck go to D to built in a week recently so here's hoping!

3500 Mega, Longhorn, Air ride, Ordered in Nov 2021.
More patient waiting. :)

I believe there is a DOT limit on gasoline tank capacity due to the inherent volatility of the fuel. Diesel being less volatile, isn't as restricted. The 52 gallon tank feeds the 22 gallon maintaining a 3/4 tank level in the small tank until the big tank is empty.
