Dealer (Granger) confirmed VIN 3C63R3ML4NG262008 (row 1038) is status KZ, ETA TBD at this point. Their email said status was “KZDL - In Transit Delay, it’s been invoiced and released by the plant for shipping” but the POC just says “KZ”. I’m assuming it’s one and the same.

Yeah, I'm amazed at the amount of time and paint it must take to do some of the graffiti you see on railcars.Hope they can't get that paint through those holes when they get graffiti!!

Probably in JS, I’ve noticed that a lot recently. A few of us were built early in March and didn’t get train tickets till a few days ago.
Still some were built after us and got an immediate send

[mention]Bigsnowman [/mention] I just noticed this. It may be a couple weeks for shipping to occur. I’d check Ram Chat maybe Monday, Wednesday, Friday for a status change to mention “ETA window”. That’s when you know you have your assignment.
I went JS on 3/5 and KZ on 3/22 if that helps.

I wouldn’t call them ugly, they do have their appeal…just not my cup of tea.
I’m more fascinated with the engineering aspects of the truck and how they work, but everyone knows the Cummins has been the better engine throughout its history.
Now, just thinking about how much each one of those weighs and seeing how it’s supported, that’s crazy to me. These trucks are roughly 20’ so you’re getting about 8 of them on a car. 8 trucks x 9500 lbs is 38 tons in one car (cut the weight back to 8500lbs to average between 2500/3500, still 34 tons), plus whatever that car weighs. Now think about the number of cars you see on a train, and then the power of an Diesel Electric Engine is insane

Love railcar graffiti, just not on any of the cars delivering our trucks! And not on buildings, bridges, sound walls, local trucks, .....

There's a crazy video on Youtube where a guy catches a UP train making an emergency stop pulling a bunch of those autoracks. Most of the front doors on the racks are all bowed out from the vehicles sliding forward. Looks like both my equipment list and window sticker showed up this morning! 1/18 ordered plain vanilla Laramie 2500 Hemi with off road package, relieved that my equipment list does in fact include power-folding mirrors without any additional equipment groups, as I have seen some older orders not include them for whatever reason. Some have fretted and worried about 5th wheel prep and bedliner, and it doesn't seem that they caused any delays at the vendor on my order, at least from what I can tell.
Do you know How long after “KZ” does it typically take for the truck to get a rail car assignment and physically leave? I’m KZ but still no ETA so I assume it’s just waiting for a rail car out of there.
Got a dealer update on my truck. Here's what he sent me.
"Just a quick update about truck, everything got moved back on scheduling. So as of now your truck has a tentative ship date of 5/4. I will keep you updated if anything changes."

I can’t say that with certainty. I got put in JS on the 5th but got my sticker on the 6th so we all thought I was in a KZ status for about 18 or 19 days.
[mention]tyler2you [/mention] was built after and went KZ shipped almost immediately.
Have you been told you’re KZ? Or assuming based off having a sticker (like I said, I did this)? I know KZ means dealer invoiced, but I think it’s also where they start assigning rail assignments (no dealer wants to pay for something to sit).

Truck was built on 3/10. I got my window sticker first on 3/11 (same day it went KZ). Equipment list showed up on 3/14. Definitely not normal sequence.
It sat for 10 days in KZ before departing.
How long did you guys sit idle?
