Thanks! Going to try to use that for my amp wire pass-thru. But it sure seems like getting to it in the engine bay will be a real chore.

Just unbolt it (2 nuts on the inside) and drill it out on a bench. Put a grommet in, and bolt it back in place. I used this exact plate to run my aftermarket switch wires through when my truck was mistakenly ordered without the Aux switches.

This is my plan. But getting to it on the engine side of the firewall will be tough. I quickly tried tonight and could not get my hand in there.

just use a step stool it is right out in the open.

I did. Do you have a hemi? Maybe the ctd has less access

Just for clarification, I am installing an amplifier. My truck has factory power boards.

Edit; checked your thread and saw the wire pass-thru the blocking plate.

I have the Cummins and you're right, it is a little tight on the engine compartment side. If I remember correctly I fished the wires through from the inside of the truck first then grabbed them under the hood since that seemed easiest.
