My wife dropped me off at home as she had another errand. She got about 300 yards down the road and the truck message was the key fob has left the truck. My question is could she drive it until SHE turns it off? Will the message keep coming back? Just wondering if anyone ran into this before.

Saw a video on that once....guy tested the distance and it was infinite based on the car he was testing. He started the car, tossed the fob out of the window and kept driving.

Seems like a useless feature then ..... I can steal your truck and then program new FOBS ?

How are you going to program new FOB's?

Can't be done on 19+ except dealer and licensed/registered locksmith that has a connection to FCA.

If they want to steal your truck, they will packet sniff the FOB and clone it.

That's why it was sort of posted as a question... Just seems to me that it should shut down in a block or so.

I did this once. I was meeting a guy to sell something. I left my truck running in the driveway, ran in the house to grab that something, and left my keys on the counter.

I left the house, was partially distracted and trying not to be late to the meet and likely messaging or calling him to let him know I was on the way.

Halfway there I noticed the key fob error and realized I left my keys at home. I drove a total of about 45 minutes round trip (left the truck running at the meet) and no issues.

Most vehicles with fobs operate the same. All the Hyundai’s we’ve had same thing

If you hold it right up against the start button it will work.
I was talking about if it actually shut off in a block or 2 without having your fob. Same as if you battery dies and it doesn't detect the fob.

I did similar but i left my keys at work then when i got to the post office two minute drive from my house i shut my truck off then realized i had no keys i had to walk home, lucky for me my wife was working from home so the door was not locked i grabbed the spare key and had to walk back to the truck and drive back to work and get my keys… some days i hate the keyless systems lol

Doesn’t matter. You can start the truck, then flush all the fobs down the toilet, and the truck will still run and operate until you turn it off.
