2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

We ordered ours September 13th, still nothing!!!.
What a joke!

I ordered mine 1/18 and still D status “gathering parts”. 9 weeks is ridiculous to not even have a build date yet. Mine is a limited and I see Laramie’s & Big Horns coming out all the time. Worst part is they can’t explain any sort of rationale or have any sort of explanation to the process. Basically every time they tell me “they come out in order and we there’s nothing we can do. I sure wish I could get answers.

Welcome to the wait. There are no answers. I ordered a pretty basic Laramie no tech features added on august 4th and it wasn’t built until 28 weeks later at the end of February. Now almost at 33 weeks and still don’t have it. Never any explanation or information. They do not come out in order by Vin or anything even close. Best chance is to sacrifice a bottle of tequila to the RAM gods and hope for the best. On your journey it is highly likely that members of the group here who help out will have more info than Ramchat or your dealer will give you.

First order for me was 9-8-21, was lost then finally built feb 24th but still hasn't left the factory, my 2nd reorder was 1-26 was told it would be escalated and priority ordered, still nothing from that one either. It's a bunch of nonsense from ram chat. It's not a good experience to wait or deal with all the trucks passing for no reason.

If I had to guess I would say it leaves Saltillo and enters US via eagle pass on Union Pacific, then through Texas (San Antonio and Houston) before heading on to Port Allen terminal in LA. Trucked from there to Lake Charles.

brv10 can probably confirm?

…I order from MD also and live in Lafayette (60 miles east of Lake Charles), and Port Allen is 45 miles east of me. When I finally take delivery, my truck will pass by me on a train to PA, then pass by me again on a truck to MD!

Well....Sandi gave me an update on Whitey yesterday. Her system showed that it was supposed to be shipped today. I think there's just one hiccup....It's Not Built Yet! She did ask me to check with her next week "to see if it actually releases from the plant".
On a brighter note.... it seems that word it getting out about her and the sales team at MD. She said they just hired another sales professional and they are all super busy. As it's been brought up here before, she mentioned that Stellantis has made "ordered vehicles" separate from their allocation. I could hear her smile when she told me that and a rough number of how many vehicles each of that sales team was moving per month. For those who've talked to her, you know what I mean when I say that you can hear her smile on the phone as she is incredibly chipper.
I am looking forward to meeting the "On-site Team" at MD as everyone here has nothing but the highest reviews for them, plus that'll mean Whitey's built!

WARNING: Price Increase information might be upsetting to sensitive stomachs.

I got great news today:
Ordered 2/11 (Friday night at 8pm) Laramie 2500 Hemi CC, Lev A, snow chief, off-road, bed utility, steps... but No cameras, sensors or safety.
Now D1 with estimated ship on 4/1.
Pretty sure it's not an April fools joke from dealer.

When I built it the MSRP was $64,115
When ordered the MSRP was $65,575 --> (there was a price increase approx 2/10 that was reflected on the build page on 2/13.)
Today, with Ship date of 04-01 - the price line now shows $67,490

Between February 1st and March 15th the price of this Laramie increased $3,375. or...5% (nope, didn't use a calculator.)

Say what you will but I'm pushing my financial limits to go Laramie by that arguable $4k more over BH... so a $3.5K hike sucks. It is what it is... but it is 5% more than an already insanely expensive vehicle. (My 1st was $14,100 brand new and it was awesome.)

Exciting though: 2/12 - 4/1 is 6 weeks from order to ship. I hope this is reality and not just numbers.

So, check with her if it’s been built next week or shipped? That’s what is confusing me, trucks that have recently been reported as completed now being shipped.

I’m supposed to contact her this week for an update, so hopefully there will be some encouraging news.

New to Ram - for the increases in MSRP after your order, are you price protected?
In my particular case this is the fine print. (Chapman, Horsham, PA)

"*the POC/DORA may not be the final invoice price & only an estimate…Stellantis/Ford occasionally has price increases during the course of production…once the vehicle is produced, we will be invoiced from Stellantis/Ford…we will provide you a copy of the invoice & honor our pricing discount (ie % under invoice/$ off MSRP) in this email thread off based on what Stellantis/Ford invoices us at time the vehicle is produced.*"

My truck has increase 5% since time of order, or approx $3k minus 11%.

You shouldn't have to pay the price increase on a sold order.. fyi the dealer doesnt

Ah yes, Chapman. I have had an F250 on order with them since 11/24, before they started added that disclosure. The Ram is on order from a different dealer and ordered on 3/3

Agreed. My MSRP went up almost $2k between Ordering in July and delivery in November. Dealer honored the originally agreed upon price without even having to discuss the price increases. Shouldn’t be an issue.

That Dealership is what they call a High Pressure Dealer. They have many unwritten rules no one knows about and figure most people will eventually give in to their demands. Start by spreading the word here on the Forum because this kind of news will spread fast and they will lose many times more than the $1000.00 they stole from you.

As far as the foam cup holder, well RAM stole that one. The 2022's only come with one now. You can order a set off Ebay for about $12.00.
My BH came with 2

12/10 order and zero information. 16 weeks as of yesterday. Getting real tired of the texts from the salesperson twice a week to let me know there's no updates. I won't even reply because I won't say anything nice and it's not his fault. I even asked if there are options they could remove to speed it up. They don't even have any suggestions.

I believe I'm too far into this to cancel it and reorder. Maybe someone else will think different. I would be very interested in any opinions.

3500 DRW 6.7 HO Megacab every option except sunroof.

I show that as 14 weeks and 1 day-ish?

You are also showing a D1 date of 2/15 on the tracker so I imagine the dealer would have either news that it regressed to D or an estimated ship date?

Personally I think it'd be cool if mine texted me twice a week. Lets me know they are on top of it and I haven't been forgotten. As it was I had to send an email to them confirming what Ramchat said which if I was salespersoning I would be slightly embarrased by.

If a order is past the parts gathering process and is in scheduling for build status would that be classified as?
