2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Late ‘21 isn’t bad, it’s the guys who ordered before production (August), back in May/June/July that were a cause of concern for me when we ordered (11/12). I haven’t looked back that far in the spreadsheet in a minute, so I don’t know how many of those guys remain. I do know that I was taken care of about 5 days before some October orders, and there are guys like J-J and Bigsnowman still waiting. The build dates are inside information, I have never been given one, but most would tell you that it has been real close to the ship date listed on your POC (that can change too). Just going into this knowing it will be a wait, and not expecting too much kinda gets you by…that and a transparent sales rep.

Yeah just like when I ordered my Jeep 4 years ago, I quickly learned there is no rhyme or reason to the process (at least from our vantage point).

Ex.: Per the Spreadsheet, a guy ordered virtually the identical Power Wagon that I did on the same day. He got a window sticker a month ago, and I don't have one yet...

Just picked it up last night, 18 weeks to the day from ordering. No wheel well liners but I did get both foam cup inserts! Was well worth the wait.
back to those wheel well liners... if those are listed on your EL, shouldn't the dealer provide them when available? Interested in what some of you who have accepted trucks w/o have done about that.

Good afternoon, I placed an order on 3/8 with Mark Dodge on a 2022 Ram 2500 Laramie 4x4 in Granite Crystal with the Mountain Brown/Lt Frost interior and Cummins engine. I ordered it with the Level B Group, Sunroof, 20" wheels, 5th wheel prep, power running boards, etc. This will be my first Ram and I'm really looking forward to that sucker landing in Louisiana!

Finally received my permanent license plate. When I removed the dealer advertising plate all I found was a couple screw holes in a plastic backing. Did RAM decide to do away with a good License Plate anchor system? Seems the plate can now be ripped off by pulling up on the plate and ripping the screws out of the plastic by hand.

Question 1: How are others anchoring their License Plates to the bumper for security reasons?

Question 2: What are the two dime sized covered ports? Is this to attache other cameras such as a trailer monitoring camera?

I ordered the Big Horn with Level C package that didn't have anything other than the back up camera.

Sitting and waiting knowing you’re almost done with the process is a bit unsettling, but I keep busy by working on this boat. “We’re not going to Louisiana until this boat is gone” says my wife regarding the sale of her boat.

So, while I know I will be picking up the truck eventually, all my energy is focused on setting fire to and sinking this money trap.

My Dad had a 30ft sailboat he had a hard time selling. He always joked Mom was going to have to give him a Viking burial at sea in "that fvcking thing". Go Gators!

I tracked it every day by calling the rail car tracking numbers and you can get exact rail car number from dealer typically. You can do a search to find the numbers on the thread, but for me, the Norfolk southern number was the easiest to use as they can all get the same info.
Ok thank you. When mine gets to that point I'm sure I'll be researching. Thank you

From what I understand, the partial liners that are on the truck is what is shown on the EL. The centers are not included on '22 models. I am more concerned that the trailer surround camera system that I paid for and is on my window sticker were nowhere to be found. Dealer agreed that they owe them to me but they will need to order them. Made sure I got it in writing before leaving the dealer.

yeah, I have that, the TTMPS, and the trailer rear view I hope to find in my truck at delivery. I may need to reach out to the dealer early about a couple sensors as the TTMPS system comes with 4 and I need 6...but this is all in another thread. Good on you for getting that in writing, which dealer did you use?

Get a hold of @owdiss78 he ordered a truck and they messed his up by adding those cameras, maybe able to see if the dealerships can buy them from each other or something.

D status means the order is accepted. D1 is parts are gathered and you should be scheduled. I'm not really sure how people are getting the build date. If it is coming from the dealer or if they are figuring it using their Est Ship date. I've been getting my info from ram chat and trying to only bother the salesman once a month. Tomorrow is 8 weeks for me and I'm still D status as far as I know. Probably shoot the sales guy a text tomorrow and see if he knows anything. I knew I was in for a wait but had hopes maybe things had picked up. Also sucks seeing trucks get built that were ordered after mine. I feel for some of these guys that have been waiting since late '21.
I ordered mine a month before you did and I still have nothing more than a VIN. Yours is a gas model so it should be ready sooner than mine but if you try to figure out the rhyme and reason of how Ram builds trucks, it sure isn't as the order is placed and you'll see trucks ordered after yours get built before yours in most cases.

So when I ordered through MD, they have you sign a document that states that options and packages are subject to change. This made me a bit nervous and MD added a line on the deposit document, stating that I would not have to take the truck if it wasn't optioned as I ordered it.

Thought I read that there was an issue with the ram floor mats as well. If you do the carpet delete, the Mopar mats are supposed to come free of charge.

I ordered the ram box which requires the fender liners. Hoping that or some stupid floor mats doesn't hold my build up.

I believe the floor mat issue was the upgraded weather mat option that could've been selected... a few of us had a small discussion a couple weeks ago regarding them, WeatherTech, and Huskey Mats. I do remember the "subject to change" discussion I think I've discussed the liners with @mbarber84 as I recall he ended up getting them from the dealer, but I want to say I remember a guy here who had been driving an '02 Ram sticking around until the dealer gave him an answer about where his were when he went to pick up.

Yep I got them from a dealer locally.

Sorry that I didn’t respond sooner. My Tapatalk app is no longer sending me notifications for some reason, even though they’re turned on via iPhone settings….this app seems awfully glitchy.

I am a little concerned about my order now. I ordered the night edition on my Bighorn on 2/22. I hope that doesn't delay it.
I ordered a Bighorn night edition and it's moving quickly for me. I wouldn't be too concerned. Seems like it's a crapshoot as to what's delaying which piece.

I have a question ,a friend of mine has given me a number it’s for friends purchase program it’s an employee advantage request for control number ,I’ve already ordered my truck and it’s supposed to be delivered next week ,would the dealer have to honor the letter ?
