Oil alternatives 6.7

Since Rotella T6 5W-40 is all but extinct.... What do the masses suggest?

I live in Eastern North Carolina, and the truck is rarely subjected to cold weather starts...

What options should i be looking for?

Valvoline Premium Blue 5W-40. Try NAPA if you have one locally.

You posted in 4th gen (I can move the thread if needed). Here at HDRams, we have (correctly named) 4.5 Gen forums for the 19+ trucks.

2007.5 through 2018 6.7L use 10W30 conventional or 15W40 synthetic.
2019+ "CGI 6.7L use 10W30 or 5W40.

Good catch @Brutal_HO. I assumed since he was asking about 5W-40 it was a Gen 4.5 . . .

Nothing wrong with that, just adding some clarity.

Here's the oil TSB, I was incorrect to state 10W30 for older 6.7L engines, the recommended spec is 15W40.
