2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

So about a week ago I finally got the deal worked out and ordered my new truck. I had a 2019 1500 that I traded last year right before it's first oil change for a 2021 3500 Laramie. This year, I am doing the same and trading my 3500 for more than I paid, for a much more loaded 3500 Laramie with blind spot and tow package and hopefully it will come in before the first oil change again. All said, paperwork says it will be about $1,600 difference with the trade. Crazy times we live in when the new trucks increase in value once you buy them. A part of me is pretty sure the dealership will come to their senses before it comes in though.

I'm figuring that this supply chain thing will get better in the next year, so I will probably treat this truck like almost every other vehicle I have owned and drive it for 15+ Years. Now the waiting game starts.
I'm doing the same thing.. traded an 18 for a 21 both loaded laramies.. now trading the 21 laramie for a 22 limited.. trade in value for cummins hd trucks has always been good but right now things are crazy.. ill do it again next year if things stay like this..seems like a no brainer to me..

Ordered 1/22/2022.
Checked this morning with the dealer, still at 'D' status. Last week he said tentative build date was March 22. I'll keep checking weekly. Is there anything specific I can ask, to get more details from dealer or Ram Chat???

For those who have also had the missfortune of having their trucks take a boat, would you please PM me the ship name if you found it?

Wow that was quick. U must be pumped
Yeah, so far I've been really lucky. I prepared myself to wait 4-6 months based on all the stuff I added to the order that is usually cited as a cause for delays (ramboxes, blind spot, sunroof, olive green etc.). There's still time for something to go wrong on the train or at the rail yard. I always look on the bright side!

What’s everyone’s timeline looking on lvl3 power wagons?

My mom was in the market and I took her to the dealership to walk her around when she was in town. She lives in the country and wants 4WD and economy.

She saw the TRX and was all about that, then I showed her the price tag, “nope”. Then she saw a Power Wagon, “that’s rugged looking” “yes, but that is also designed to go off-road, just too much truck for what you're looking for and the MPG isn’t what you want.”

She ended up going with a Southwest Edition Laramie EcoDiesel w/Off-Road Grp.

Those Power Wagons are nice, maybe in the future I’ll pick one up to toy around with.

Pretty sure only option on a PW is the 6.4 hemi, but I could be wrong.

You’re right, my bad did say diesel. She also asked about a 2500 with a diesel. When I told her about the deal I got she saw an opportunity to take advantage of. She told me what she wanted out of a truck; basically a grocery getter, great mileage, 4WD, tow small trailers, and little to no chrome. I was surprised at the options that come with the SW Edition.

Anyone stuck in D with a 3500 SO Air Ride? Have a few little things dealer said where holding it up, like bed step, fifth wheel prep, and air ride. Thinking about dumping the bed step and fifth wheel prep because I can do that later in a effort to get the ball moving. Camping season is short in Canada and its right around the corner.
