2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Lucky you, I ordered mine 2\9 ... haven't gotten my vin yet .. can't even get a response when I ask about it.. I had my vin the next day when I ordered my 1st one that I cancelled, from my local dealer..
Normally if you have the VON (Vehicle Order Number) with your name and address, the RamChat people can pull up the VIN for you - but now have to wait til they are up again on Monday I believe

Most of the time the Build Date will be the ship date. And then shipping will be set after it clears Quality Control and/or outside vendors.

I can attest to this. My original “ship date” was noted at 3/3, then it was pushed to 3/5. Ultimately my EL was released on 3/3 and my sticker on 3/6.

I got rhino spray-in lining in an old truck and I was happy with it, held up after 9 years of abuse.

I went with a factory/dealer liner in a gm truck that I ordered in 2009. It gouged and peeled up from sliding an empty pallet into my truck bed. The liner was less than a year old at the time and it only got worse from there. Traded that truck in 2011.

The 2011 truck is my current truck and I got a spray in x-liner in it when brand new. 11 years now. The liner liner color is dull, but the integrity is still flawless.

So history tells me to stay away from dealer/factory spray-in liners and go with an aftermarket big name brand. But I decided to go with simplicity for this Ram truck that I have ordered,

I hope this mopar liner holds up.
Not sure about the 22 yet since I've only had it for a few weeks. But my 2012 ram had the factory spray in bedliner and it held up great for the past 10 years. A little faded color, but no peeling or penetrating scratches.

Had the first hold up in shipping. Nothing major just sat at the interchange for an extra day so now the arrival date is a day behind. Should be at the rail yard on Tuesday

My POC didn’t have a ship date on it. Am I screwed?
First POC without VIN will not have Est Ship Date and may show Priority 99. Subsequent POC updates will pick up VIN and Est Ship Date (which really has no meaning and may change - and may ultimately correspond roughly to build date) and will Priority will change to 01.

Yeah my second POC had VON, VIN but no Est Ship Date.

Picked the truck up today! She is stunning! So much nicer than I imagined. Couldn’t ask for a better experience at the dealer! I forgot to snap photos before I drove off the lot when it was shining! All the roads are muck here right now! But here is a glimpse that still looks clean until I get it home tomorrow and give it a nice bath!

What a tremendous experience! From start to finish this has been the best instance for buying a new vehicle for us. We picked up the new Power Wagon at Chapman in Horsham PA Friday morning after driving from Pittsburgh (got a free upgrade to a HEMI Charger on rental-score!) the night before. We arrived about 20 mins early for appointment, but were welcomed by some of the most friendly and genuine staff I have seen at a dealership. The transaction was highly efficient without being rushed at all. Numbers were exactly as conveyed throughout the deal, with only the aforementioned $196 increase from time of order despite the $2400 increase on the sticker.

The truck was sitting out front cleaned up, fully fueled, and ready to roll (I did check the fuses and yes they did need to be fully seated). Was also surrounded by about 15+ TRX orders that had just arrived. We mentioned we were also going to be looking at a new '22 Jeep GC to in the upcoming year and the gentleman handling our finance actually brought one up for us to look at that his father-in-law had just ordered.

When talking with the folks at Chapman they did say you don't automatically get the % below invoice deal unless you mention the forum(s) and their standard price is MSRP on orders. So thank you to everyone on the forum and keep spreading the word. The few vehicles that are not sold orders on the lot are all over MSRP with "market increase".

Had to air down the tires a bit for a better ride (were at ~72 psi) before we hit the turnpike then started the journey home keeping it at lower speeds for first couple hundred miles and tempering our rapid return with frequent stops to enjoy the less than glorious PA Turnpike Service centers. Made it home Friday evening in time to install my Diamondback bed cover and new Weathertech HP (WAY BETTER than old stiff style Weathertechs) before the very annoying snow storm hit.

Truck is schedule for window tint, Ceramic Pro- Silver coating, and the RP-342 undercoating next week so it leaves me enough time of it not being driven to talk my wife into letting me replace the perfectly fine brand new 33" Duratracs with some 35's.

Just wanted to upload some pics now that our new truck has arrived. Ordered on 12/2. Arrived 3/10. Super happy so far!

Thanks to everyone on the forum for all the assistance!
Has anyone noticed the bed of the 2022 RAM is about 66" wide at the cab of the truck and only about 62" wide at the tailgate? Does anyone know why RAM made the bed this way? If you don't believe me just look at the Tonneau Cover on this truck..... lol

Now that I have a window sticker, and even though it hasn’t shipped, thought I would detail my journey to this point to help newbies temper expectations and realize that at times it was a wild ride to just get here. Hoping my last leg of the journey runs smooth but here is how I got here:

6/25/2021 - Ordered
7/12 - POC with VIN issued, D status
August - nothing
September - nothing
October 20 - Created a “case” with RamChat which means absolutely nothing
November - Customer Care emails says they have no updates at this time. Well, duh!
December 18 - Received email from RAM acknowledging my order and telling me my VIN (which I had for 5 months at that point) - thanks Ram!
January 2022 - it’s cold out and still nothing
February 2 - D1 status with estimated ship date of 2/21
February 17 - Customer care says all materials are available and ready to build soon. New estimated ship date of 3/11
March 7 - Build week begins
March 10 - EL available
March 12 - Window sticker available, KZLD status

I will update this as my unicorn completes the journey.

Wow that's crazy! Thought we were at the end of the line. We ordered ours September 13, never heard a thing until this week saying they now have all the parts.
Didn't really order anything crazy.

Not sure if I am the oldest order at this point. Haven’t looked at the sheet in a while.

Damn Red, I’m glad you guys got taken care of recently. If that chain of events were to happen to us our plans for the summer would’ve taken a serious blow.
