Desktop version can't find my VIN. I'll try in a couple of days.
 
We’ll I ordered my new Ram 3500 on 2/9. I got my vin # & status D the next day. Now I just wait & it’s killing me, no updates yet. It’s so hard waiting.

Lucky you, I ordered mine 2\9 ... haven't gotten my vin yet .. can't even get a response when I ask about it.. I had my vin the next day when I ordered my 1st one that I cancelled, from my local dealer..

Did you try using Ram Chat? I asked about mine & they only confirmed I have a 3500 Longhorn on order. Mine is a HO, CTD, LB, Dually with every option in Patriot Blue!
What did you order?

I'm pretty busy this weekend, so I'll have to dive into creating an account and adding my VIN for UConnect.
Let me ask you gents; what other features are available if/when I do that? Can I track the location of my truck through UConnect? Or will I have to track my truck the new-old fashioned way by getting a rail assignment and car number and look it up that way? Last I heard it was scheduled to ship on March 22 from Saltillo, Mex to Mark Dodge.

Dave .. I signed onto Ramchat, but I don't see where I would find help with that, bottom line, I expected my saleslady to send me that info ...

AS for my order, a Laramie dually, 6.7, air susp, 20,000lb 5th whl, Night edition, silver metallic, 4.10, bucket seats, safety group B. My original order was for a Big Horn with a lot less than what I got out of the Laramie with a lot more!

No. So until you physically go into the vehicle you can do nothing but look at features and specifications.

You will notice that it tells you how much life is left I on SiriusXM and other subscriptions you can manage, but since you haven’t been named the official owner none of the free subscriptions are active.

I’m interested in the location of mine as well since I was told it’s waiting for a train ticket, but for some reason Ram Chat told me it’s in Kansas…unless it’s a Wizard of Oz joke.

Ordered mine 2/21. Texted my dealer on 3/8 to ask for the vin, and he said he still doesn’t have one. Said he’d let me know when it’s assigned. Still nothing….

What about a VON? RamChat can give you a VIN with the VON, I thought. I ordered 2/23 and after seeing most should have a VIN in a couple days,except for Canada, I asked my dealer for a VON and they gave me both like 2/28.
 
Need to acquire materials to uparmour my fuel tank. I was looking at putting an auxiliary tank in the bed, but with vandals punching holes in tanks I don’t see a point in putting another target on my truck.

That’s a good idea. I received my VON, VIN & Status D within 24 hours of ordering.

Talked with the dealer a bit ago. Got an updated response. Vin has been assigned and an estimated ship date of 4/09 (yeah right) was listed. He claimed D1 status, but I think he was mistaken for D, because he said no build date yet scheduled. Either way much better news than I’d previously received.

The POCs only have ship dates on them. The “build date” I’ve yet to be quoted or referenced.

Most of the time the Build Date will be the ship date. And then shipping will be set after it clears Quality Control and/or outside vendors.

Baby steps, ha. In other news, I just realized, I didn’t go with the Aluminum Dually wheels. Reached out to the dealer to see if maybe they could help an old forgetful man out. They said nope, it’s too late. Haha. Guess I’m buying Night Edition versions after all.

I got rhino spray-in lining in an old truck and I was happy with it, held up after 9 years of abuse.

I went with a factory/dealer liner in a gm truck that I ordered in 2009. It gouged and peeled up from sliding an empty pallet into my truck bed. The liner was less than a year old at the time and it only got worse from there. Traded that truck in 2011.

The 2011 truck is my current truck and I got a spray in x-liner in it when brand new. 11 years now. The liner liner color is dull, but the integrity is still flawless.

So history tells me to stay away from dealer/factory spray-in liners and go with an aftermarket big name brand. But I decided to go with simplicity for this Ram truck that I have ordered,

I hope this mopar liner holds up.

Never had an issue with any of my factory liners, including putting snowmobiles with carbides and studs on them.

Makes sense considering the photo he sent me with the vin on it was the POC.
