You're doing it wrong
I was told it did by a buddy i guess he is mistakenEZ-Lynk does not have to remain installed. It does if you want to use their monitoring system. Once you download a tune, you can disconnect and store the EZ-Lynk

I was surprised by your comment, you are usually spot on.I was told it did by a buddy i guess he is mistaken
Banks is developing the Derringer tuner. Seems to provide decent results for the Duramax. Curious to see what it will do for the Cummings.
I just looked at it online closer its the same idea as EFI live for the 5pos sotf it just has its own OBD2 port my buddy was trying to say it plugged in to the ez link box lolI was surprised by your comment, you are usually spot on.
Gotcha. Suggest you vet what your buddy's say'sI just looked at it online closer its the same idea as EFI live for the 5pos sotf it just has its own OBD2 port my buddy was trying to say it plugged in to the ez link box lol

That is all tuner dependent to my understanding as there are SOTF switches that plug in under the hood such as the optimal welding supplied switch for EFI liveOn Ez-lynk the SOTF cable plugs into the CCV sensor port so it doesn't use the OBD port. I can also change switch levels from the autoagent app on the fly with UDT tuning and not have a switch at all. On UDT tunes you can also adjust other parameters on the fly like fueling, shift firmness and torque converter shift lockup, etc.
I believe the EFI live uses the OBD port for their SOTF setup.

Not all use the CCV I prefer the OBD personallyAll ez-lynk tuning uses the CCV switch method (that I have seen). The EFI varies depending on year, up to 18 use the OBD, 19+ use the CCV method (forgot we were talking 19+ in my previous responce).

We must have different tuners. I'm with Calibrated and just installed their new SOFT on my 2020 3500 HO. My SOFT switch plugs into the OBDII and has a pigtail to plug my Edge CTS3 into.On Ez-lynk the SOTF cable plugs into the CCV sensor port so it doesn't use the OBD port. No need to shut up its informative to hear all sidesOkay, I'll just shut up now..... All my experience is with the previous gen trucks and they were all CCV for the switch (that I have used, seen). Obviously there have been changes on the 19+ trucks.

No need to shut up, we've all done the same, me more than once. That's how we learn.Okay, I'll just shut up now..... All my experience is with the previous gen trucks and they were all CCV for the switch (that I have used, seen). Obviously there have been changes on the 19+ trucks.

I had the same with PPEI. It plugged in to the CCW port for the SOTF. OBD is much easier to get toOkay, I'll just shut up now..... All my experience is with the previous gen trucks and they were all CCV for the switch (that I have used, seen). Obviously there have been changes on the 19+ trucks.

Damn PPEI is emissions on only now.I had the same with PPEI. It plugged in to the CCW port for the SOTF. OBD is much easier to get to![]()

There's a DRD (Double R Diesel) tuner who's highly spoken of by all his customers but he's only selling MM3 tuners.
If interested and have a $100 to spare, head to igotacummins forum, all the good stuff is hidden in a premium section (hence $100 fee).
