whenever users update their progress, when the creator gets on(officersanchez), he will approve the changes. It is all done by the users. So you have to update your progress. He may have something things auto update like window stickers and equipment listings, i am not sure. But as far as vehicle progress, you gotta put that information in or ask him to update it with your info you provideHow often is the build and order spreadsheet updated? Just wondering how often I should check back? Thanks.
Do you have a deposit in play? Are you OK with losing it? Can the order be cancelled in a way that does not hurt your original dealer? (Probably - he may take a hit on selling a Special Order truck, but he will probably get full MSRP maybe plus Market Adjustment). Your call, but I think you would regret not getting the better truck for the same price.
Just curious. When you say window sticker came last night, did you just happen to see it on the spreadsheet or you actually got an email with a link to the window sticker? I'm in D1 status with a est ship date of 3/14 so I'm assuming mine will be built soon. Didn't know if I would get anything from RAM or not. Some do and some don't. I ordered from Mark Dodge.![]()
At this point...you know what you want over the BH you have ordered...for the same price. You will 100% be kicking yourself in the a$$ for a long time if you don't go with Sandi.
Really ? USAA was way higher than the Allstate I eventually went with. The difference between liability only on my 2000 ctd and my 2022 CC ctd is only $400 a year. And that’s for better than average coverage.I may, but have never found someone cheaper than USAA
Yes I’m driving my wife’s Honda while I wait for my truck. It cost me $95 to fill her car today… a Honda. The Ram will be twice that and a third less gas mileage on top of a crazy purchase price. It is going to be one expensive truck. And the state of world affairs seem to be a place of uncertainty. I currently don’t tow anything but I have in the past and figured with the truck we would in the future. Maybe time to rethink all this before I put the cash on the table. Probably just pre-purchase jitters.Anyone second guessing their truck order/purchase with diesel being $4.50 a gallon or more in most places. In California its over $6.00 a gallon in some places. Here in SW Florida I paid $4.40 a gallon at BJ's Club yesterday. Everywhere else here it is $4.79 to $4.99 a gallon.
It's gonna be a ride ... Mass to La ...... Maybe I can figure out a way to make a few bucks, I'm selling my drag car to pay for the new truck .... One of my potential customers lives in Shreveport, La. I just need to figure out how to pull this off ... I could make the trip with my enclosed and my 02 ram dually ... figure out how to sell the 02 when I get to La .. then hook the trailer to the new truck ... hmmm ... figure out how I can get a car in the trailer for the ride home ..well, guess I'll have 4,5 months to figure it out.. anybody interested in a bad azzzz 6cyl, turbo charged Ttype ... collector car ...

Stellantis NA Facebook told me a couple weeks ago my 3500 Limited was tentatively scheduled to be built the week of March 7th. I checked RamChat yesterday and they told me my truck was in Paint. But I haven't heard from my dealer and they said they would let me know when it started production. Hope Ramchat was correct.Build dates are always on a Monday, it could happen anytime this week..
I have excellent credit and excellent insurance. Retired Air Force and bank with USAA, but can't afford their auto insurance. They have some of the highest rates in the business. Start shopping for rates.I may, but have never found someone cheaper than USAA
Thank you much appreciatedYou can likely see the status using one of the following automated numbers for your rail car (UCRY001955).

I think there will always be a market for the instant gratification folks that want to roll in to the dealership, test drive, and drive off same day even if it means overpaying. The order/wait model also doesn't work well for folks looking to trade in their current vehicle. I just don't see the majority of buyers flipping to the order and wait approach after the supply chain issues subside. Some dealers may try to make it work, but I think the pushback from buyers will force a return to the old model.Do you think people will custom order more in the future?
I know the global shortage is messing with some order delivery times but this summer/fall I was convinced the car market was heading towards mostly custom orders, similar to Telsa.
I was feeling like dealerships would have demos on the lot for you to see and test drive but then you'd order your car/truck and it would be there a few weeks later. The reason why I was thinking this would be the case is it would cut down on the number of cars just sitting on the lots. I've seen at least 5 dealerships in my area in the last 3 years lose half their inventory to floods, fires, theft, etc. that carrying cost/insurance must be huge and they always end up with a few cars that never sell. They still have trucks on the lot that I looked at this summer..
After ordering my ram and looking at ford/toyota to see they are the same.. I'm not soo convinced of this anymore. Years ago I wouldn't have thought this would work at all because people want to touch stuff before they buy it but people are shifting to relaying more on youtube reviews and buying stuff on amazon, etc.. Telsa appears to have no problem talking people into this model.
Do you think ordering cars will become more normal in the future? I think the wait time would need to be closer to 4 weeks. There also has to be much more transparency to the customer on the status of their orders and expected target dates. Gofastcampers posts their project numbers and shows were each order is in the status. Last month they were showing expected delivery dates by build but no longer publically showing that.
I do feel this is going to be the norm. Dealers will only be the middle guy or be removed all together. Order a vehicle and have it delivered. Everything else can be done electronically now days. The dealers will just deliver and sign paperwork possibly. Heck, you can already purchase used vehicles and have them delivered to your door.Do you think people will custom order more in the future?

About 6 months ago I heard Ford was discussing just this, keeping a minimal stock on the lot and going to mostly customer ordersDo you think people will custom order more in the future?
Better trade it now, market is going to crap once we stop importing Russian oil today is announced. If I was ordering a new truck right now, I would eat my deposit and look for a moped. This feels very much like 2008 all over again. The problem is, I ordered a new Ram and want to trade in my truck, The dealer gave me an estimated trade in for it. It is a local small town dealer that I feel I can trust. If the market goes to crap, which I am assuming it wont, I would lose money. It is a bit of a gamble but I am willing to take it. They told me that it should be within $500 of what they offered. But they didn't see gas prices going up like this and truck markets could have the bottom fall out of it. I am getting a bit nervous.![]()
