Missing Blind Spot Monitoring

If you buried them, you should be able to take one of the wires with the terminal crimped on, and insert the male spade in the front side to push the seal out the back.
Yeah you'd think that would work but while it did push it slightly it didn't get it all the way out. I'm about 3 seconds from just soldering the wires together.

that or use a staple like i did, it did pretty good at grabbing them.

2022 2500 Laramie
I installed new taillights with BSM modules, new taillight harness, mirror glass with bsm, johhny007 mirror harness and gateway harness.
When I go thru the list with alpha obd , I get a “blind spot monitoring temporary unavailable “
If I disable the door-blind spot mirrors present, the error goes away.
Any ideas?

I have a 22 Laramie as well. Give me about a week or two and I'll be at this step to give you a second set of eyes.

I got it figured out thanks to jimmy007. He provided the harnesses. And the proper way to hook them up.

I am looking at doing this on a 2019 Ram 2500 Big Horn w/halogen tail lights. I found part numbers for the 2019 led lights on a 4th gen thread at ramforum.com. I verified that pin 7 on Module -Door-Driver-C2 was empty. The part numbers for the tail light jumpers and mirror glass in post #21 of this thread all show up online as compatible with the 2019 2500's. I know I will need custom harnesses for mirrors and can bus but haven't seen anything here specifically on the 2019 year model or halogen tail lights so just wanted make sure I wasn't missing something.

These are the part numbers I found for the tail lights:
RH 68361720AG
LH 68361721AG

Picture heavy update finally bear with me if this post looks funky to start.

I have it all installed and verified the cute little orange triangles show up in the mirrors (via alpha, road test tomorrow).

This update includes how to pop off the door, tow mirrors, and wiring.
Pictures that show screwdrivers are best places that I found to pop/pry panels off.
PXL_20220305_235145672.jpgstart here

PXL_20220305_235213235.jpgThere is a screw (not pictured) behind this plate.
PXL_20220305_235226886.jpgstart pry where the screwdriver is
PXL_20220305_235244464.jpgthere will be two wires to disconnect if you have driver memory controls, one wire if you dont
PXL_20220305_235313103.jpgpry anywhere on the outside edge for this one.
PXL_20220305_235334588.jpgpicture of clips holding controls
PXL_20220305_235403034.jpgremove wires connected to the window/lock controls
PXL_20220305_235452779.jpgthere are 6 of these per door and they are plastic they may or may not screw off depending on how everything lines up from the factory.
PXL_20220305_235459748.jpgbetter picture showing where on the outside edge they are located (remember there are 6)
PXL_20220305_235947553.jpgthis just pries off, no effort required.

PXL_20220305_235959854.jpgthere are wires still attached to the door so be careful as you lift the door panel directly up.
PXL_20220306_000028325.jpgsneaky wire 1 near hinge side
PXL_20220306_000043056.jpgsneaky wire 2 midway down more towards latch side.
PXL_20220306_000225930.jpgnaked door, nothing to see here.
PXL_20220306_000817230.jpgtilt old mirror glass all the way up
PXL_20220306_000833346.MP.jpgtry to get as close to the middle as you can before you pry away so as not to break the mirror (7 years bad luck)
PXL_20220306_000840365.jpgnot sure it matters (jimmy07 can answer this im sure) but observe the heated glass wires and where they go prior to disconnecting.
PXL_20220306_001138868.jpgremove (4) old metal clips if your replacement glass doesn't have them already (if ordering from Mopar, it doesn't have them)
PXL_20220306_001534133.jpgyou will have to push the tabs located around the disc to release it.
PXL_20220306_001503618.jpgdecent pry point but be careful you don't put too much strain on it.

again continuing last post
PXL_20220306_003530387.jpgplease for the love of god TAKE A PICTURE. make sure you get a good shot OF THE WIRES AND THEIR COLOR. Disconnect the White, Black, and Green connector.
There are also 2 spots that have clips holding the mirror wiring to the door remove these (sorry no picture)
PXL_20220306_003547057.jpgsticky af tape. I don't remember why I took this picture actually.
PXL_20220306_004051480.jpgRemove the 3 NUTS leave the bolts as they only hold the bracket on. These 3 Nuts are all that holds your mirror on so be ready to hold its weight or have help. thread wires through the hole in the door frame and you will be good to go.
PXL_20220306_013547099.jpgTAKE YOUR TIME, even on a MY22 plastic will and can break. Start at the top and work to the sides then bottom you will break less plastic this way. (screwdriver may not show the optimal pry point)
PXL_20220306_013606368.jpgpicture to show the tab style holding it.
PXL_20220306_014344286.jpgDON'T WIRE THIS WAY
PXL_20220306_022440681.jpgpry off puddle light to make the 90degree turn.
PXL_20220315_000713386.jpgpry off triangular foam (portion that touched the door) and route small end of wire harness through until you see it near the puddle light slot and slide it through the hole following the wires up using a metal coat hanger or similar item. (hindsight i probably routed it through a drain way.)
PXL_20220315_000606685.jpgwhen its done it should look like this. you shouldn't have a lot of slack. its a 4ft harness. make sure you have enough to connect the light of the mirror and that the other end can reach as far as the rest of the wires.

again again continuing last post. (also final)

put the tow mirror back and move on to connecting wires.

PXL_20220315_002159544.jpgremember that step that i said to take a picture? it saved me here. just plug in the green and white connector of the mirror wire (not the Jimmy07 harness) to their original spots.
PXL_20220315_002313983.jpg"Slide the black cover sideways off of it’s terminal block, and slide it on the black terminal block of the tee harness, and plug that end into the door module. Take the supplied white cover and slide it onto the original door harness connector that you took the black cover off of, and plug it into the white male tee harness connector end."
PXL_20220315_021531544.jpgput everything back the way you found it (reverse order of taking the door panel off) and switch to the passenger side and repeat the steps for the passenger.

activate mirrors via Alpha OBD

hope this helps anyone doing this process.
any questions, feel free to ask and I'll try to answer to the best of my ability.

I swapped out my tail lights this morning (halogen to led w/BSM). Put them in, checked all the functions and everything worked fine. Made changes to BCM and when I tested again the right turn signal dash indicator and right mirror turn light were blinking about twice as fast as the front and back signals. Using the hazards everything was normal. Checked all the connections, swapped left and right lights, swapped left and right jumper harnesses, changed all the setting in BCM back to factory, reinstalled halogen tail lights all with no change. Finally checked for codes. Had a Right turn signal controller short or open to ground. Cleared this and everything is working except the right turn is slightly dimmer than the left but its dimmer regardless of which side it's on so probably an issue with the light.

I installed blind spot monitoring in my 2022 Ram 3500 HD following the instructions in this forum and it works perfectly! For future installers, don't make the mistake that I made and plug into the wrong CAN block. . . it makes your instrument cluster go crazy. Make sure you plug into the CAN block with the white base, furthest behind the headlight switch. Thanks Jimmy07 and all other contributors.

n00ber, Lteberle,
I have the same 2022 Laramie as you, no BSM, do you have a build sheet handy for the BSM update?
I'm lazy :)

Too funny, I did the same thing, everything started to go nuts, wipers started, headlights going off and on, just about everything was going crazy. A few days latter check engine light came on, was real concerned I might have caused it, turned out to be bad pre heater and relay, FCA covered the repairs.

Sorry, I should have said "parts needed to install BSM on your rig" (build sheet)

Ah gotcha.

This will be on the lower end of $1,000 from start to finish for a diy.

3 BSM Harnesses (left and right mirror glass and one Body control module) provided by @Jimmy07
68401394AA Mirror Replacement Glass, Right
68401395AA Mirror Replacement Glass, Left
68446840AE Tail Lamp, Right
68446841AE Tail Lamp, Left
(Quantity 2) 68396013AB Jumper Wiring
AlphaOBD
Security module bypass provided by KAOdTECH
And some type of OBD link that supports AlphaOBD I personally went with OBDLinkMX+ but there are other potentially cheaper options.

Word of warning when you go to replace the tail light harnesses with the "Jumper Wiring" I ended up breaking the old harness clip on the passenger side due to body metal being in the way and how the tail light comes off. If I need to remove the passenger tail light again I'll end up having to break the new harness. You may not run into that issue, but just so you are aware...
