Some trim levels come standard with the ram boxes. The “ram box delete” option removes them along with the cost.

When it leaves the plant the dealer is invoiced, damage is on the shipper and the dealer.
Just a couple of thoughts..... Dealers may not have transport insurance if they were transporting it and damaged, their dealer insurance may not want to pay the claim. If the dealer paid a transport company to move the truck then the transport company is respomsible for the damage. They too may not have the required insurance to repair the vehicle. Commercial Insurance is expensive and many of the smaller transport companies don't carry the required insurance to protect their cargo.

Getting so exciting!

ok, have a question pertaining to the bed size. I ordered an 8ft DRW because I have a 40ft 5th whl RV, are there any negative effects to having the 6.4ft bed for towing a 5th whl? I know it hooks fine and will go straight fine, but are there restrictions when turning , tight spots to park, riding down the road ...

Main negative will be trying to perform a sharp turn with a 6.4 box. Most newer 5ers have rounded caps and let you swing it around father befor the cap touches the cab. A sliding hitch may be needed for a 6.4 bed.

No, I’ve asked this questions here and Facebook. With the way the noses of these new 5ers are made you could comfortably tow with a 6’4” and sliding hitch.

Most go with the 8’ for the fuel cell upgrade to 50 gal, the ability to get the hitch from the factory (although thinking back, you can request a Max Tow package for MegaCab too), and the capacity to carry more during towing if you were to boondock, such as your portable black water tank and even auxiliary fuel tank.

I think they’re having some difficulties with the app. Mine doesn’t seem to refresh the current fuel level regularly. When I first got the app it did, but recently it has been acting weird. I can still interact with the truck (turn on, unlock doors, etc) but the fuel level is weird. I just opened mine up and it’s still not reading right. I know for sure my truck is well below a half tank and my app says this:View attachment 33089
The Ram App on mine is still showing the last truck I had and traded in on the one I have now. And there is no way to delete it from the App that I can see. I talked to the dealer about it and they looked in the system from their end and they say the old truck isn't there. Chrysler so far isn't swaying me very well for paying for this feature in the future,.

I’m only using our 2017 Pacifica Uconnect as my experience, but the system is the same. I’ve noticed delayed reporting the entire time I’ve had the vehicle. The ability to search for locations and send to my vehicle from my phone has been really helpful, while the start and unlock features aren’t any better than having a key fob. Now I suppose if you somehow locked your keys in you vic the app would be beneficial.

Will the app not let you add your new truck to your garage? It may be time to sit in the truck and contact Tech Support through the radio. I tried calling from the phone, it took me to some T-Mobile line where the lady couldn’t verify I had an account and couldn’t help me.

Keep in mind that tech is always changing and there will always be bugs with that tech. 20 years ago I never would’ve thought my phone could talk with my truck. Things will improve, but will never be perfect.

Standard on Limited SRW with short bed - but delete credit is significantly less than cost to add to other trims as I recall

But if it was not secured properly loading on train, who is responsible?

I had to call customer service and have my name removed as “owner” of the 2017 I sold prior to ordering my current 22 truck. I was listed as “non owner” of the 22 until they corrected the issue.

You would think the railroad would be ultimately responsible for the vehicle from the time the truck is loaded in Mexico to the time it is unloaded at the final rail destination. Then truck carrier / car ship carrier would assume the next leg.

Agreed, the chain of custody usually dictates that the responsibility lies with the entity that had possession at the time.

when I order something on amazon or anywhere online for that matter I am invoiced before it ships and charged. But if it arrives damaged, that is the sellers problem, not mine, The seller goes after the shipping company not me.
When I order our food supplies for my restaurant or anything for my restaurant for that matter, they write up the invoice before it leaves their warehouse, if it arrives damaged which is does from time to time, I am not responsible in anyway, my only responsibility is to send a picture to my sales rep showing the damage. So I find it extremely odd a dealer would be responsible when its somethign they have zero control over. They dont pick the shippers, or the mode it ships. Its almost like a scam, they could load damaged trucks and the dealers would be on the hook? lol
I am nto saying its not like that, i am saying that is pretty stupid if it is.

to haul for big companies such as stellantis, it is normally requirement to be fully insured, not only fully insured, but a minimum amount of insurance. Very common in the world of being a contractor and working with large companies, insurance is a requirement
