They’re getting better. First part of the year the pattern I saw was anything with a Hemi was moving quickly. SO or HO Cummins weren’t moving. I ordered 12/28, was quoted 18-20 weeks, 9 1/2 weeks in as of now and my truck is built and waiting to be shipped. Loaded Laramie with Cummins. Yes, things are moving quicker than last quarter for sure.

First time poster.

So my 3500 Limited DRW arrived this week at the dealer, only 6 weeks later than they estimated (5 months total). And it was damaged in transit. According to my dealer, the FCA rep for the Nashville, TN area was out on paternity leave and couldn't get an answer on what FCA will do since my new truck is now not factory new. Damage entailed replacing the front and rear bumpers (was apparently not secured while on the train) and there was a large scratch/dent on the dually wheel fender. The truck will look new as the bumpers are full replacements, including the sensors. But the scratch could potentially show later. Their collision shop is doing the work, so it's not like a mechanic is doing body work.

My deal still stands with the dealer. I told them I'm not paying brand new pricing (~5% off MSRP) for a truck that has a Car Fax report. This is all an insurance claim with shipping. I'm hoping they offer $10k off since it's damaged. I'm not sure what to do. I don't have another 5-6 months to wait on another truck.

It was sad seeing my dream truck in the body shop with no bumpers, rear fender all sanded down waiting on paint. Really not sure what to do.
the dealer damaged my truck pretty badly when delivering it on a trailer, I asked for it to be fixed and $10k cdn off our agreed price, they literally laughed at me. This was after driving 5 hours to meet them halfway! They even had an identical truck to mine on the lot, except it came with the fifth wheel hitch, they wouldnt even give me that truck for my original deal because of the extra $1400 fifth wheel hitch, I said keep the hitch! Was still a no. I walked from both trucks, went to their sister dealer, which went and got the truck on their lot that had the 5th wheel hitch and sold it to me for my original deal! I wish you luck! Cuz I know what it feels like! without getting anywhere near $10k off I was not interested in getting the truck, i can go pay new price and get a new undamaged truck from another dealer! I would be surprised if they give you much off at all, your only hope is that Ram itself would be covering the discount since it was damaged before dealer even got it! I hope it works out for you!

Not sure I know which one I like better ... the truck or the house ... or castle ...

Many thanks. I’ve put a lot of BS&T into this one. Especially the lawn, which I love like a 3rd child. Lol

I'm with you there on the yard, although I only have a small yard.. I put lots of time getting mine where it is....... and my ole leaky 2002 Ram dually diesel leaks oil all over my new driveway ... so it has to go! Even though I'm a retired mechanic, shop owner .... last thing I want to do is work on my own truck .. hence I ordered a new 3500 DRW diesel ...

heck, by the looks of the build list ... I don't see virtually any movement on anything from Jan 1 and on, and if you ordered anything with a dually or Big Horn ..... forget about it. Not sure how anyone can say.. things are getting better ... .... maybe for SRW ..
I hope that its not moving too slowly i ordered a Big Horn 2500 SO CC Jan 31 sure would like to see it by the 16 week mark or so

When it leaves the plant the dealer is invoiced, damage is on the shipper and the dealer.
