New Build - A true off road champion….

But for real. 3500 Laramie long bed that I was going in every direction with it. Finally got focused on what I want to do and wanted to make a the thread to document it and if you got suggestions lemme know. I’m all ears.

Truck will be a toy/weekender for a few years as my 6.0L dually at the moment is moneymaker for work. This will pull duty sometimes but for the most part is going to be a family getaway vehicle. She will be setup for overland/camping and a cruiser.

Boxes are starting to stack up and the wife of getting pissed. Carli teasing me. Sent every item immediately but the sway bar was a month out so it’s all waiting. Going full pintop systems except the rear leafs to see then might switch them out later.

First thing I did was retrax tonneau with the Yakima rack that incorporates into it. Criminal how much this costs but I need a rack that was removable/slidable to the front for when I have to haul pallets or something tall. It’s a really clean setup. Compressor/tank/air horn goes in next week. I like that I will have a 5gallon setup available at all times for air at work and the truck. Is there a way to fill the airbags from a compressor remotely? Some kind of valve?

Can’t wait to make the kids crap themselves the first time they hear it

Ok so this is something small but if anyone is looking at this they won’t make the mistake I did. I first purchased the weather tech liner for underseat storage. It’s trash. Ends up with less storage than stock.

Husky liner fills the 3” gap to sit flush with the bottom of the seat which the weather tech did not and also has the secondary tray in the back. Way more storage space. Minimal plastic trimming to fit sub.

I just have to fabricate something small so my m12 power tools don’t roll around in that well. This was able to handle all my hand tools I use daily.

BTW, is there an option to fold the back seats down in a crew cab? Can’t find it

Finished up the suspension and just dropped the truck off for wheels and tires and to do a once over of the suspension. Ooo buddy I’m excited for when I get back from Colorado to pick her up!

Now was the suspension install? Did you do pintop level or 3.25?

im debating between thuren and Carli so any and all feedback is welcome.

3.25 lift

I wanted to go a little higher and make sure the wheels and tires I wanted fit. I put the fuel rebels on it which have a -18 offset on their 20x10s. With 37x13.5s Buddy said it will be very minimal plastic trimming installing them. We shall when i actually pick it up.

Tires have arrived and shocks/bags are done in the back. Going to start working on fronts over the weekend. Even with someone who knows what they are doing this is **** work. I am not cut out for this.

I swung a hammer for a decade and my hands and my hands have never looked worse and it’s day 2. Da fuq

Thanks for the tip and photos. I was just looking at the weathertech until I heard from this forum. Damn you keep your tools pristine for daily use!

I bought all new hand tools for this truck. Still use my other truck for work so couldn’t take them out of that one.
