4% Under Invoice on any Retail order HD Ram Truck

Just got my quote back They are offering FWP pricing. Doesn't FWP = Invoice and its supposed to be 4% under that or am I misunderstanding?
It should be 4% under invoice. Can you PM me a copy of the quote to make sure we did it correctly?

Out of curiosity, does anybody know where the trucks for Granger come off if the the train? Intel says, it was dropped from the train on 2-13, but it hasn’t hit the dealer yet. Hoping it catches a truck soon!

It heads from rail to KC then by truck to us.

We've had some delays getting inventory with a lot of inventory backed up with lack of truck drivers currently. We have 4X as many vehicles in-transit to us as we do on the ground. Usually that's an equal amount or more in inventory than in-transit.

This is an industry wide problem. From what I heard, the drivers that were delivering vehicles before the pandemic began trucking for other industries. Now that vehicle production is back up and running, the transport companies are understaffed.

Sounds like it’s time to get Granger Auto Transport up and running! Any idea on average how long it is taking to get trucks delivered from the yard?

That is a good question, this is a new phenomenon. We have over 100 vehicles sitting in Kansas City waiting to come up here. I have never seen that many. I thought we would have received about 2/3rds of those by now.

ht we would have rec

I'm waiting on one to come to Iowa too. Mine was in Kansas on 2/3, not unloaded from the train until 2/11, and still hasn't left the rail yard for Iowa. Once it's built and that close by it's a lot harder to wait!

Thanks for the information Zach, crazy times out there indeed. I’ll do my best to try and wait patiently!

Let’s hope we both catch a truck soon!

As a Kansas City, Mo resident I dont suppose there is any chance I can just pick it up locally instead of having it trucked to Iowa and flying there to drive it back here? (when it comes in)

@zach@granger I had agreed upon build and then send drivers license and information to purchase and have heard nothing since last Tuesday. I know you all must be busy. Any help is appreciated.

I had the same problem and ended up going with mark dodge. Much better communication, similar pricing. Wish I could have gone with Grainger, they are 700 miles closer.

Yeah, I apologize about this. We'll make sure it gets handled on Monday. I will check into what is going on.

Sorry, unfortunately the truck has to come up here.

A production update for anyone sitting on the fence.

There's no wholesale call this week, which tells me future production for vehicles without a VIN will most likely take longer. All vehicles that have a VIN now should be okay without a sizeable delay.

Also, 80%+ of 3500 trucks have been retail orders for a customer. Leaving less than 20% for stock. So if you're planning on picking up a 3500 out of dealer stock you're going to be waiting a while.

I place my order and paid deposit today with Amanda. Have a VON so hoping get a VIN in 3-4 days. Do you think that an order like mine will take even longer since I don’t have a VIN yet? I ordered a 2500.

I'd imagine you'll be in pretty good shape. 2500s don't have as high of a retail take rate as 3500 so you'll bump the production of another dealer's stock order I'm all likelihood.
