Just took delivery of my new 2022 2500 Laramie with the HK sound system. Over the last week I have noticed that the volume just seems really low. Just to have it seem like a normal volume it needs to be set on 20-25. Only goes to around 38 and that doesn't seem too loud either. Turning it down to 10, I can barely hear it. Is this normal or could something be wrong ?
Thanks

Figured it out. For some reason, when I was last in the truck, I was on a phone call and the volume got "stuck" on a lower setting. Like a glitch. Let the truck sit for a couple hours and when I started it back up, it returned to normal. The best way to explain is you know how when you have a phone connected to car play and you receive a text or phone call, the radio is muted or lower volume and the text alert is louder. That is what happened but the radio got stuck on the lower volume - scale.

Yes, these seems to only happen when using Apple Car Play or Android Auto, especially when you get a text message.

Not sure how/what might be different on the UC5, but the UC4 radio volume remembers volume settings for different functions - NAV, phone, media. (or at least onboard NAV and media/phone together as I recall).

UC5 has the same thing but there is a bug in the software causing the mute issue. It is easily remedied by switching back to radio then back to Car Play.

The HK in my 2022 compared to the Alpine in my 2019 is not as loud at any given number. My opinion is that the Alpine is louder, the HK has more bass capability. If doing it again and if I could get the option, I would pick my old Alpine over the HK for my taste. But when you pick the Longhorn L1 package you get the HK shoved into the order no matter if you desire it or not.

My wife and I just returned from a 3,000+ mile road trip in our PW. Several times during the trip, I would reach down and push the 'mute' button to mute the radio and within 2 seconds it would come back on. Anyone else experiencing this? I presume it is part of the ongoing Uconnect issues that I am having.
