Keeping up on the cat herding in this thread is pretty much F** impossible. The 1300 odd pages should be indicative of that. It's not for lack of trying, but for the most part it's a lost cause at this point.
What's ironic is some members that suggest moving threads
after they become a distraction are the ones that start the off topic discussions in the first place.

I'm guilty of a little OT myself from time to time, and that's to be expected in the normal course of conversation. but some just don't know when to stop, or when (or how) to start a new thread, or at least
report post and ask to have something moved.
It's simple. posts need to be REPORTED. You can't just drop names (especially without tagging) in a post and expect it to get any action.
Simply mentioning "admin" (who is rarely around), "mods", etc. particularly without using the @ sign to tag anyone is futile.
