2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

this is not on every truck that I know of. this is something local dealer installs on all the vehicles they say because the owner makes them. this is not a normal stock unit but my special order so not sure why they must put it on. I won't pay for it. it's like 700.00. have text from my sales guy saying Its included in the price I was given. but still this guy's truck wire was mutilated by whoever installed it. if I want stuff like this on my truck I will add it myself.
I think it's more of an issue for dealer stock that's on the lot.

no and it's a dodge ram fiat dealer. they said there whole lot gets them. I can see if this was a stock order but not someone's special order vehicle built for that person alone.
I hate to say it but that would be a walk away moment for me. I wouldn’t want them cutting the wiring on my new truck for any reason much less to put a tracking device on permanently. Outside of it being financed there or being used for inventory purposes while it’s on the lot there is no purpose for it to be there. When you are done with them either way please out this dealer here on the board so others can avoid them. There are enough places like MD or Chapman to direct people to other than these shady dealerships.

No sleep tonight. Just got a call from the salesman. The truck should be at the dealer by 9:30 in the morning. Come around noon after they have the PDI and things cleaned up. That will make 15 weeks 6 days from order to delivery. They said 16-20, can't get much closer than that.
You will have to at least sleep on your back!

Are any of those dealers Mark Dodge in Louisiana or Chapman in Arizona? If not, I would talk to them. I'm dealing with Mark Dodge and they have been fantastic. Best vehicle buying experience I have ever had. When I ordered my truck in November, the estimate for delivery was 20 weeks. Right now that seems to be holding true as my truck was just built this past weekend. If your not getting estimates for under invoice, you need to go to one of these dealers.

As for your second question, I was told that rebates are a given like the military discount ($500) or other type rebates. As for factory incentives, they would not lock them in because they do not know what incentives will be available at the time of delivery.
Ok, so 5 months sounds like a realistic number, whereas the other dealers are giving me overly optimistic ones. Not surprised.

No, not Mark Dodge or Chapman. These are all local dealers in the Rochester, NY area - Mark Dodge is 23 hours away and might be tough to swing. First two dealers were locked at MSRP, while the third dealer was actually a friend who was able to get me halfway between MSRP and Invoice when they otherwise also do MSRP or above. Which given the market I thought was pretty good, but people are still getting under invoice, even now? Are there any dealers in the northeast doing that? I am happy to fly and drive, but 23 hours is pushing it, we have a new baby and demanding jobs.

Ask the dealers if they will do FCA affiliate pricing, which is 1% under invoice, if so you can join tread lightly for $100 and get the discount after 30 days

Get a quote to ship it to you. $1000 bill and MD would still save you a lot.

I ordered from chapman in horsham pa. About 5 1/2 hours from Rochester. At the time they were doing 5% below invoice, but I think now they are only doing 3%.
Ordered a CC Laramie 2500 Hemi on 12/4, was delivered to the dealer in the past day. Just over 10 weeks total.

That is awesome, Philly is a totally doable from here. Thanks everyone, I will give her a call tomorrow. Anyone have an email for her?

@billybaloo, awesome! Thank you for the intel. I talked to Renae this morning and she said we were still waiting on rail assignment. I'm assuming that the SRT can see more than what she see's.
I'm not sure about that, my gal didn't mention about transportation. I would appreciate any future info from your source.

Ordered mine through Ashlie at Chapman. Thanks to @franko‘s heads up I was able to also get the 5% below dealer invoice and saved nearly $17k off what they were asking for same truck on lot here in Pittsburgh with the $10k over MSRP ”market adjustment” the local theives were asking. Ordered on 12/11/21 and it shipped out 8 weeks + 1 day from then and its currently enjoying a train ride probably about Chicago right now. They’ve been extremely great to work with and the drive will be well worth it. Highly recommend for anyone not up for the trip south to MD or paying for shipping.

I’ve scoured this thread and then some trying to get a handle on a PNW dealership. Doesn’t seem like there’s that many in the thread here. Dennis Dillon and Dave smith aren’t close to MD and the local jackals are 5-10k above msrp. Right now my two options are Granger out of Iowa and MD out of Louisiana. I’d prefer to find someone closer but I haven’t had much luck as of yet.

Anyone had luck in the WA state area or am I best paying shipping from one of the above two?

Our Crew Cab 6.7 4500 Tradesman c&c was unloaded from the train in Centerville IL yesterday afternoon.
