You don’t need to out anyone. Hiding a damaged truck from a customer is a pretty big deal in my eyes so any info that could be shared so it doesn’t happen to others i think would be a great asset. I had a dealer wreck my truck before transporting it to me, I did not take delivery of the truck. In a few weeks after it was repaired I watched them sell it as an executive demo is the words they used with no accidents! Whole back of the cab was dented and the roof. Hard tonneau cover let go towing the truck backwards and was flapping on the truck roof. The initial impact left a good dent.

Fair point. Things like that happen more often than many of us realize. It would be interesting to see what percentage of units are damaged between the factory and delivery. There is a lot of potential between the trains, trucks, and even just accidents on the dealer lot or shop mishaps. Just from watching how fast the rail yard jockeys fly in and out of the railcars, it's a wonder that any of these thing make it to the dealer in one piece.

I may have ordered a Unicorn. 3500 High Output Mega Cab. After looking over the Google Doc, looks like most Mega Cabs are not moving. Latest HO Mega Cab was deliverd was on 2/2. Lots of them are still on the list with little movement.

Hello all. I apologize if this has been asked a million times before. I did search for the answer before posting...

My truck is now on a train headed north. I've seen several members post the route the train took to deliver their trucks. Is there a way to track the freight location as the Truck gets closer to the dealer?

I was wondering as well. All I saw was your dealer should know what rail car is on. Mine doesn't but said if i find out how some know to let him know so he can get that info. They finished my truck this weekend so I hope mine caught a ride north with yours.

If a VIN doesn't bring up a build sheet or a window sticker when I search that means still gathering parts? I mainly want to be sure I have power fold mirrors (2022 Laramie Level A) because I see some Laramie with manual fold and it would be nice to have power fold when backing into the small door on the barn. The ones I see without power fold have Level C which I am not sure how you select it wasn't an option on the RAM site when I built mine.

Apparently the Equipment Listing and Build Sheet are not published until sometime AFTER production and BEFORE shipping.

A more direct answer to your concern would presumably be to look at your POC sheet - If it says Level A you should be OK - BUT IF it says Level C or Level D = No Power Folding Mirrors (as distinguished from Power Mirrors). And if you can get the latest POC sheet from your dealer it will also show D or D1 or whatever status and an "Estimated Ship Date" which has no meaningful relation to Ship Date but may approximate scheduled build date.

They just finished my Laramie level A last weekend. The build sheet and window sticker both say power fold mirrors.

This is not an accurate statement. I know of several 3500 HO Mega Cabs that have been built in the last week and are pending shipping.

They just finished my Laramie level A last weekend. The build sheet and window sticker both say power fold mirrors.

As soon as I get either of those sheets I will post up! So far I can confirm I have a Level A and not a C.

Hi guys - about to order my first RAM (a 2500 Limited) and want to confirm a couple things the dealer has said to me.

First off, I am talking to three different dealers. Two of them both said that lead times for an order were around 10-12 weeks. The third dealer, who is someone I trust more, says it is 5 months. That dealer is also giving me the better price. Is he just being more realistic and the others are too optimistic, or do different dealers get orders at different speeds? I asked the third dealer if it was an allocation system or first come first serve, and he said they get their allocations at the beginning of each month, and they always have enough, so our order would go in beginning of March. Does that sound right?

Second, one of the first two dealers said they can lock in any rebates now when I order, and honor them when the truck comes in. However, that third dealer told me they can do that for national rebates, but not regional incentives - which the $1500 conquest rebate that both dealers quoted was a regional one. So which is it?

Are any of those dealers Mark Dodge in Louisiana or Chapman in Arizona? If not, I would talk to them. I'm dealing with Mark Dodge and they have been fantastic. Best vehicle buying experience I have ever had. When I ordered my truck in November, the estimate for delivery was 20 weeks. Right now that seems to be holding true as my truck was just built this past weekend. If your not getting estimates for under invoice, you need to go to one of these dealers.

As for your second question, I was told that rebates are a given like the military discount ($500) or other type rebates. As for factory incentives, they would not lock them in because they do not know what incentives will be available at the time of delivery.

It was my understanding that the Equipment Listing (Build Sheet) and Sticker are made AFTER assembly. How far after assembly I'm not sure... JB, JE, JJ....?
