Some good news from my dealer today re my damaged truck. They were able to determine it was minor damage to a fender and it is being repaired now. It will be done and ready for transport in 1-3 days. I will of course inspect the truck when it arrives and we'll go from there. After researching the heck out of these issues over the weekend it seems this happens more than people realize and most time the consumer is never aware. With minor damage the manufacturer or the dealer may be under no obligation to divulge the information. However now that I do know I am being treated very well :)

How did you find out your truck had been damaged?
 
Can anyone tell me how our numbered spot on the list goes up and not down ....... I think when I 1st got my vin listed I was #973, a week later until last night I was # 979 and this afternoon, I checked and I'm #980. I would think our number would go down if it changed at all, not go up .... Thanks
 
I finally took delivery of the truck on Saturday. Window tint and tires installed sunday. Huge thanks to all of yall on this forum for everything yall do. Will be doing a full emissions delete later this week.

I would love to see how that delete goes. From my understanding, the emissions system isn't covered under warranty.
 
i was wondering if anyone is able to give me a status update? Curious if my truck has shipped. Its been built for a week. 3C6UR5TL7NG219364 Canadian here, so a chicken to try and get it out of ram chat lol. I wish I could look up this stuff myself, i hate bothering people!

Others have added their orders to the list and their order date was earlier than yours. It's sorted by order date.

Your number goes up as other people add their orders with both earlier orders dates and VINs. The set up is first by order date and then by VIN.

It is for 80k miles on most units I think. I don't wanna publicly go into detail but I own a repair facility in TX and we happen to be Chrysler / Cummins certified. We perform warranty, inspections and tuning in house.

But when in doubt, just ask the question. Most of the topics here end up repeating, and while you’ll get some crap from some members, others may have the same questions or new experiences. I’ve been here for 3 months now and still don’t know everything.

Sad but true - MD will apparently sell an Inventory Truck at MSRP or close, but Special Orders, especially via internet or referrals are sales they probably would not otherwise make and they no doubt benefit from volume in several ways - probably increases their future allocation, gets some effective priority if nothing more than more trucks to load on a railcar quicker for single destination, gets better pricing via better incentives (holdbacks, end of year adjustments / incentives based on volume), and moves vehicles without ever having to pay flooring related expenses.

But other dealers are not in the current internet buying world and figure you will order from them not knowing any better and they make an extra 10% ($8k+/-) per truck.

The ones that really get me are the ones adding an additional $5k Market Adjustment - or worse the 2 2021 Laramies I saw posted in September (somewhere in North Texas - cant recall exactly as I immediately dismissed them) that were high $70k / low $80k trucks per Internet Listing and MSRP but they were in the process of pimping them out to $110k with tires / wheels / other inflated accessories and would not sell at original advertised price.

Don’t get us started with the West Coast pricing…

Great news. And yes, damage happens frequently. I've seen some interesting damage during the years that I hauled cars, from minor scratches to completely totalled units from bridge hits, etc.
why is a secret? isnt this forum for sharing information?
It is but there may be people on here who are going above and beyond and giving people information in private, and who would prefer not to be outed for it.

"Your build date moved to 2/23 and slipped back into D status....I think the supply chain and border blockage has caused some havoc."

She is going to check with Stellantis to see if she can get some detail on what's causing the delays.
Man i hopeits not impacting the building of the trucks in Mexico. Guess only time will tell i was told not to contact Sandi for around 8 wks and then she should have some more info on the build by that point hopefully. Her words not mine but i could see parts being an issue from Canada if in fact they donget larts from there. If anybody hears anything let us know boys were all on the edge of our seats as it is lol

I have not asked dealer for update, but RamChat said I was D1 with a build date 2/25. I’ll call later this week to see if timeframe has changed. Good luck to us LL guys in the Ram Lotto.

I’d be interested to know what’s up with that too. Sandi never gave me a build date, only said that my LL (11/12 order) made it to D1 and should ship on 3/3.

I don’t understand RamChat, am I the snotty-nose kid or something!? I got ahold of them on Saturday and asked what the status of my LL was. I was told D1 as of the 31st, but when I asked about these reported “build dates”, Sarah told me that they do not have that info.

She told me the same thing, 2 months (January), and when I did she told me to contacted in 3 weeks (February). Finally had movement on 1/31.
