2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

this. I listed mine on autotrader - priced at the higher end of trade in value and nothing but bots responding. Priced at $46.5k and have an offer from Carmax for $44.2k so I was expecting a little better response. When the times comes I'll probably call a couple dealerships that are advertising "wanting" to buy cars and then go from there

How much load could a 12v compressor put on the battery during the 10 seconds that it runs? And if it was so high as to impact the battery’s state of charge, surely Ram wouldnt let that fly as the warranty claims would outweigh the extra alrernator, the cost of which would be passed on to the purchaser.

The air compressor is just a plus. For me it's the 5th wheel. We are going to add batteries upgrade systems and I wanted the extra charging power of the additional alternator.

Has anyone showed their Mark Dodge “MD” quote / pricing to another dealer and got the same deal or 1-2% close to it ? I’ve never committed to such a purchase before and think it’s a little crazy to order a truck from a dealer half way across the country and not get it for a couple months. I would of already bought a pre-owned 2021, but these 2nd hand dealers want over MSRP for a used vehicle that should be well below.

My truck was but in 1/14 original eta then was 1/2-1/7, Then it got pushed back to 2/8-2-15. Talked to ram chat today now it's pushed back to2/16-2/25. I'm afraid I'm going to be one of those guys that can't get out of the rail yard. Worst part is it's sitting less than a hour from home!

Has anyone else been held up at the Centerville IL railyard for several weeks recently?

That has been suggested - I have heard negative results from dealers in certain areas who are still trying to hold MSRP - saying those quotes are "Impossible" and implying buyer is misrepresenting MD quotes - but MD appears to be the Real Deal based on results posted here.
I would still say its definitely worth a try. You will never know what a specific dealer will do and others in various areas have been reported to match or come close to matching MD prices. And if you buy local, you avoid travel / transportation costs, you may have sales tax offset benefits, and you may get better Warranty Service if needed.
But get your price in writing preferably with Price Protection - there have been Price Increases which may or may not be applicable if you placed an order and have the original Priced Order Confirmation sheet. Some dealers have tried to increase based on subsequent price increases - others including MD are reported to be holding to original quote.
My dealer (not MD) did not even mention $1200 MSRP increase - deal was as ordered. But there have also been stories of dealers jacking price up well beyond original quote when truck arrives - I believe in one case they tried to get back up to full MSRP.

I did and he wouldn't match it. it was 2700 difference In price.ade sense since it qould have cost me at least half that to go pick it up if bot more and saved me 1200 plus miles. Renae was excellent to deal with though

Ya I did this and got my dealer within $1000 of the MD quote. I live in Lake Tahoe so this saved me 2k in shipping or however much it would have cost to fly out and drive it back. Dealer originally told me MSRP for an order, I told him I had a quote for another dealer for 12% off MSRP and sent the copy of the quote to him, he came back to me 10 mins later basically matching it and I placed my order then and there.

well reached out to my salesman today have a estimated build date of February 24th let's see how accurate that date is

I tried with my local dealer. Asked if they could get anywhere close. They literally laughed at me and told me the best they could do was MSRP. They are marking trucks up 5k and selling them in a matter of days. I'll never step foot in there again for anything.

My buddy described something like this to me as well, charging in transit.

We’ve got 4 Battle Borns on board our toy hauler we currently charge with the generator, and planning on putting 2 kW worth of panels on top.

While I like the idea of starting setup at full charge, I’m concerned with something overheating and burning during transit.
