Any of you have the trailer TPMS by chance and have gotten it to set up successfully with the Uconnect 5?
There’s a bulletin out for that issue. I have it to the best way to fix it is shut truck off get out and wait 5 min then it resets everything according to the paper the dealer gave me.Had an odd issue today.
Sitting in the truck with it running, shut it off, jumped out closing the door to put a box in the bed, jumped back in after about 30 seconds and started it. Uconnect screen was off. Everything seemed to still work, but couldn't get the screen to come back on.
Stopped a few minutes later, turned the truck off, opened the door, closed then started it again - screen still remained off. Held the power button down (20 sec or so) til the radio shut off - no change.
Drove about 30 miles with no screen, but everything seemed to work including the heated seats that were roasting my backside and couldn't be turned off. Was out of the truck for about an hour, then jumped in and started it with the screen coming on and working with no issues. I'm assuming it went into a deep sleep during that hour shutdown and that reset something?
Is there a way to force a reset besides the power button if this happens again without needing to wait for it to go into a deep sleep?
I'm irritated that without the screen alive I lost all control of many truck functions that would be deemed critical.
Yes, that’s how mine behaves. It doesn’t seem like it’s the same timeout consistently. Sometimes it goes back almost instantly, sometimes a few seconds later.I’m working on installing the UC5 in my 2017, and for testing functions, it’s hard to discern what are probably glitches others are experiencing, or actual quirks that are the result of it being retrofitted to a 2017. Has anyone used the turn by turn directions in the instrument cluster while using CarPlay Apple Maps? If so, does the turn by turn instructions stay on the EVIC constantly, and only give you about 3 seconds to view the actual info page you have up on the EVIC before it reverts back to the next turn you’re supposed to make?
Ok thanks, same here with it not being consistent. I guess it’s good for me, as it’s “normal behavior” in the long list of glitches.Yes, that’s how mine behaves. It doesn’t seem like it’s the same timeout consistently. Sometimes it goes back almost instantly, sometimes a few seconds later.
When I use apple maps the turn by turn stays on constantly and speedo moves to the top of the display. If I flip through things the turn by turn comes right back. Do you know why only apple maps only works on the speedo cluster?I’m working on installing the UC5 in my 2017, and for testing functions, it’s hard to discern what are probably glitches others are experiencing, or actual quirks that are the result of it being retrofitted to a 2017. Turn by turn also works in the EVIC with the factory navigation, and the normal behavior of the turn by turn feature it to only display the next navigation move about .7 to 1 mile beforehand, not constantly. The factory nav turn by turn functions correctly. The Apple Maps turn by turn is incorrect, and needs to be fixed. When I use apple maps the turn by turn stays on constantly and speedo moves to the top of the display. No, but I can send you a copy of S21C.6 so you can update to that via usb stickI’ll pay closer attention next time to make sure. I’m going by memory lol. I am still stuck on B version of software and I’m waiting for the updates to be sent. I think there have been 3 updates already and none have made it to my truck and dealer is outright refusing to update it for me. Any way to reset or force an update OTA? Thanks!
Sure. That would be great. Pm me and I’ll send you my email. Thanks! No, but I can send you a copy of S21C.6 so you can update to that via usb stick
Would I be able to get a copy of that too?No, but I can send you a copy of S21C.6 so you can update to that via usb stick
I’ll just post it up here. This is S21C.6, and is only for 2022 UC5 12” or 8.4” with nav radios. Once downloaded, do not unzip the file or anything. Just move the whole file itself onto the formatted fat32 usb drive.Would I be able to get a copy of that too?

I bet Chrylser's entire software development team either quit or was fired due to covid BS mandates - and the only ones left to show that "We care!" are 1st-year temps or retired cobol programmers who only know/knew how to develop IBM business software, and maybe an old anti-social HEX core-dump debugger or two dragged outa the back woods.Spent quite a bit of time in my truck this weekend and the new update is just as buggy as the old. I'm really hoping they are able to get this figured out soon.
