What a nightmare of an experience order a dream truck and it’s been nothing but a disappointment!!!! Starts with dealer clicking one option that kicks out level 1 dealers rep won’t try and fix the mistake. Going on 21 weeks finally at week 19 go to D1 week 20 go back to D dealer tells me ship date Feb 16 when it went D1 now hearing about a hold code sbj and maybe a April 18 build date and still pushing dealer to fix the mistake with rep still no answers. But yet can find trucks close to my order all over the chart or sitting on lots at dealers ordered way after mine makes no sense at all so not much of a dream truck when ram puts no priority in anything to get answers and such a bad experience.
 
So I picked up my truck back in mid December and never got my tags. I figured it was a delay due to covid, holidays, and ****ty local post office. I found a emIl from Mark dodge in my spam folder and they said they overcharged my registration and had a refund but needed a copy of my registration to confirm the amount. After some digging on their part they found out my local dmv was not releasing anything till I came showed up in person. As usual Mark dodge was awesome. Apparently the DMV needed to do their own notary for the mileage disclosure.

Time to cancel and reorder at MD or one of the other dealers commonly mentioned doing under invoice pricing? Get what you want and may come out better even after price increases depending on deal you have. Recent orders seem to be moving.

I live about 2 hours from MD, so I drove there and did the deal with a sales rep, Logan. He's been helpful by sending text on status update.

Looks like there should be at least 3 of us at the rail yard there. Hopefully that will fill a truck faster to get them back to MD. If I can’t go get it next week I will have to pay for a transport to SC and I really do to want to do that.

downside is i think they can only fit one dually on each truck? probably wrong about that but that is all i usually see - one dually in the very last slot on the trailer

Mine is a SRW so you don’t have to worry about me getting your spot.

This is terrible. With the way things are going now you could reorder at MD and have it delivered by the April build date of your other one. It would kill me to have to start over but the fact that I’m not giving a dollar to the awful place would help me get by.

Agreed haha at week 27 since order now and still not built… 5th time going D1 but this is the longest it has ever stayed (13 days now) and supposedly getting built next week. Put together a list of 20+ trucks I found online with same equipment plus extra options that were ordered after mine and already built, most of which were already delivered and gave it to the dealer and then the next day I went D1 again. Could be coincidence or maybe it finally lit a fire under them but regardless a bad experience. Top this off with getting a call from the salesman to “fix the problem” by offering a lesser truck but without being able to use EP pricing on it so basically a win win for them getting me to pay more plus they would get to make a whole lot more off my build when it finally shows up. Also disappointed when a co-worker went to the same dealership and they let him buy a truck off the lot (only a 1500 but still) and use EP and drive home the same day but won’t let me have EP without ordering and waiting… yes I know they are allowed to do this but still not impressed with the lack of customer service and high level of greed by the stealership. Updates have been sparse if any. Quite l frankly I don’t think they care about this build since they won’t make much off the sale so they just let it ride. Overall not impressed with the lack of service from the dealership or the brand itself. Hopefully the truck quality is better than the customer service or this is going to be extra disappointing.

ha - hear ya - the other fella has a limited Mega cab dually so i imagine the trucker will be like - probably need to take that one first. its all good, truck will get there in due time
 
Hey Brv. Can you check on my buddy’s truck for me. I think he’s one of the last guys to get his. He ordered mid July and still doesn’t know anything on his truck. Salesman is saying it’s because of the color (green) is why it’s taking so long. Here’s his vin 3C7WR9CL6NG138612
 
Dealer called me this morning and told me mine was in transit (presumably rail from Mexico). Actually sooner than I expected as I thought it would set there for a while longer.
 
@ACEd, I received a proposed build "week" via email from the Ram Information Center

"This is a courtesy email regarding your Ram 2500 factory order status.

At this present time, your vehicle has been sequenced for production with
all the parts necessary to begin building your order either being scheduled
or gathered.

I show your order has an estimated production plan timing projected to
take place the week of 01-03-22. Please keep in mind, this timing is
estimated and could be subject to change."

Is this cut and paste, or did you type that out for the 45th time? Didn't you buy one off the lot a month ago? Your order probably got dicked up because of the change and is now lost.
