2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Wtf. Sorry about that. Why did you have to reorder? Hope the dealer didn’t screw up your order.

5 months of no movement with zero information why it wouldn't be built it's the only way I can get anything or it will end up being a 2023 before I get it. They went up the chain to even find out why and no one could find out why the order was factory lost.

Looking good! The more I see of the Patriot Blue, the more I like it.

I apologize if it's already been stated elsewhere; but what are the wheel and tire specs on those trucks?

Thank you. Patriot blue is an amazing color but it’s pain in the ass to keep clean. Not as bad as black but pretty close to it. It looks like crap when dirty lol.

The set up is all stock suspension with 20x9 wheels with 0 offset. Tires are 35-11.5x20 on the blue and 35-12.5x20 on the red. Both had minor rub. Minor plastic trimming fixed it.

Sorry! I used the word "Secondary Market". Didn't mean an untrusted black market type of chip. Secondary meaning I don't believe any of the Big Three auto manufacturers make their own chips and believe they must be sourced. If they made their own why would there be a Chip Shortage?
Secondary means secondary (assuming that is what you meant) - it is not the primary (preferred) source. And since truck manufacturers dont make their own chips as you correctly pointed out, I would have to assume the primary source is preferred (due to quality, price, volume, reliability, accelerated age reliability testing, long term contract, or some combination thereof).
A secondary market must therefore be less desirable for some reason. Hopefully they are just as good relative to quality and reliability but maybe just cost a bit more and will be follower by a price increase - but I agree with other poster's conclusion that they may be less desirable. If they were not less desirable, presumably Ford would jump on the band wagon too rather than shutting down lines.

Recently picked up my 22 Ram 5500 Limited Level 1 and I just noticed that my drivers door switch is missing the mirror folding button in the middle. Now my build sheet shows "Power Multi-Function F/Away Mirrors"(www.chrysler.com/webselfservice/BuildSheetServlet?vin=3C7WRNEL2NG117469) and Window Sticker has "Power Multi–Function Fold–Away Mirrors"(www.ramtrucks.com/hostd/windowsticker/getWindowStickerPdf.do?vin=3C7WRNEL2NG117469 )which means I should have power folding mirrors, correct? Did Stellantis pull a fast one? Going to email the dealer tomorrow to dig into it. Hopefully its just a swap of the door window switch module.

Thanks!

So after checking videos of the 2020/2021/2022 Ram 5500 Limited (screenshots below), it appears that the power folding option is not offered on the 5500 series. All are missing the mirror folding button. Not a big deal for me but an interesting tidbit of info for those that may be in the market for this model.

Thank you for the reply! That is good to hear because those sit exactly where I would want them to. I usually see the +18 offset recommended on the 9" width wheels, but the wheels I want are 0 offset as well.

Maybe Ford did jump on the bandwagon and ran out?

Truck was constructively placed at Lordstown Ohio rail yard at 7pm last night. Just needs a short truck ride to dealer. 20 miles !! Here is an example of what I was able to track as my truck made its way from Mexico.
Hopefully yours moves quicker than mine!

Yes....that's it!
Seriously though, I can't speak highly enough of Dan Cummings CDJR in Georgetown, KY. I would have gone Mark Dodge because of all the good references here. But then I stumbled upon Dan Cummings in these forums when they were offering 4% below invoice back in Dec. And I'm in St. Louis area...so 5 hours away vs. 11 hours. Miles Goff there has been awesome. And it turns out I was a lucky one in terms of schedule. Ordered 12/14. And at the dealer 2/8. I think that's 8 weeks exactly. I was bracing myself for much longer.

I'll have to add it to my signature. But Laramie; 2500; 6.4 Hemi; with sunroof and safety package. And the sticker and equipment list say Power Folding Mirrors....so that button better be there when I open the door.

How do I find out if I have a window sticker/VIN yet? I have an 8 numeral number from the dealer which I believe is my VON. He gave it to me the day after I paid my deposit.

^ put your VIN in the search field to get your equipment list. That happens when your truck actually goes into production.

After that equip list shows up....

^ replace my VIN with yours at the end for window sticker. Window sticker will populate after the truck is built and is a real existing full truck

If you have a VIN that is. Ask your dealer if you do not have one yet. If you are a Canadian order you prob won't get a VIN for a while. Possibly not until the truck is built

Any issues with the tpms sensors? I just put 12.5 x 35 x 20 on my new truck and can't get the tpms sensors to work properly.

They reset with motion and time - took mine about 20 minutes of driving at city speeds not above 50 mph may be faster at higher speed, but I knew based on previous truck and just drove normally.

So I have gathered that equipment lists populate on weekday mornings. I’ve asked here before but no replies, but What time of morning? Early early or mid morning? PST, MST, CST, or EST ?
Just wondering what time to call off the search daily. I should be close to getting an equipment list though, unless I’m back at D.

Dealer didn't send pics, so of course I made the 45 min. drive to check it out. The dealer must have known I was coming, as it was left unlocked. Horrible lighting, so sorry for the bad pics.

6.21.2021 order. 2500 MegaCab Night Edition. Laramie Level A equipment did come with power folding mirrors. Spare wheel (I grew up calling them rims) is black, which is nice. Wish I had gotten the 8.4 NAV radio with the glossy bezel and the aux switches. Safety Group B did come with the digital rear view mirror and the connector to the left of the license plate. 2 1/2" to 2" hitch reducer and plug for the wiring when you take off the tailgate were in the back seat.

The picture with the carpet hanging and a gap is under the glove box. It looks unfinished to me. What do other Laramies look like?
