I am not sure if I should start looking for a loan or wait until the truck gets there. Don’t want to get a loan and have the preapproval and then it expires.

We may be in the same train. Mine is supposed to reach Port Allen tomorrow. I hope it doesn’t take 3 weeks to get back to MD though.
 
So, I've now had my new truck for about a week and a half, and I've gotten 2 emails from "Cara", telling me my order continues to be prioritized for delivery and I now have an estimated delivery date of 2/8-2/10. I'm so glad they're staying on top of it!

Have any recent equipment lists / builds had a sunroof?
 
The 3500 Mega Cab Limited I built 1/23 has a sunroof. Still in D status as of today. Got a VIN a few days later.

More like 5 months. Still better than mine. Ordered the day after you and still in D1.
 
2500 limited 6.7 cc w/sunroof ordered 1/5 still in d..still says 3/21 build plan..

I'd be curious to know where it says this. Most don't get any kind of estimated date until getting to D1...and then sometimes that's a bit of a crap shoot. If you have better info...please share!

That being said, I was driving my new truck today. It’s soooo awesome! Love it.

I say lock in that rate in case rates jump. Mine is good for 90days through Navy Fed. I did it right after it was built and the window sticker popped up. Heading to MD as well.

Most likely a driver/truck shortage. Used to haul cars out of that railhead on backhaul. Quite a few of the guys that I used to work with quit car haul and went on to other niches within the trucking industry after the 'rona shutdowns led to them being laid off for extended periods of time. Hard to sit around waiting for a call to come back to work when other sectors of the industry are fighting each other to fill seats.
 
Mine has been sitting at the Warwick Tower rail interchange in Clinton Ohio about 1hr from Lordstown (final rail yard) since Sunday at 1050am. So close !!!!

Actually, the car with your truck in it was constructively placed at Lordstown at 7pm last night. With any luck it’ll find its way on a car carrier today or tomorrow. Congratulations, you are almost at the end.
