2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Very true. Took the wife's Palisade in to get inspected yesterday. Just happens to be across the street from the Ram dealer I ordered my 3500 Limited on 11/17 and was told was being built on 11/30. I walked in to talk to the sales guy about side steps and possibly changing the order to add them or just putting it on the final "we owe" to which he replied, "We can't change it, it is still being built". I asked for the status code of the order. He comes back over and tells me it is "D". I said "D" or "D1"? He said, "No, 'D', that means it is being built". I said, "You mean to tell me my truck is still being built since the end of November?" He said, "Yes, it's a Limited, they take a while to build."

Thanks to the wisdom of this forum and fast forward about 20-30 minutes later, with build code printout in hand, I conducted training with the sales manager, salesman, and a poor soul behind the counter who looked like he wanted to crawl away and hide. We talked about the difference between D and D1, VIN and VON issue timeframes, build sheets and window stickers, real assembly time of a 3500 Limited (not 2+ months), QA, freight and delivery.

Bottom line, I sold my Tundra in December thanks to the recipe above. We haven't had much snow in Virginia this year, but have had some. It would be nice to have a 4WD for freedom of maneuver. Instead, I will enjoy my snowy days at home with the Nissan Leaf in the driveway and hope the Ram arrives sometime this year. In hindsight, I had a quote from Kernersville but allowed the local dealer to match them. Doom on me.

Lol “yes it’s still being built”

8 hours from gate line to end of the line

I’m sorry but these dealers don’t get a “pass” from me anymore because it’s “hard to find good help”.

There’s severe communication issues between Ram and the dealer network that need addressed.

Can I get excited finally and believe that it’s happening? Contacted Ram Chat and they said that my order has been scheduled. All parts have been gathered and the build will begin in the next few weeks. Am I finally, finally in D1? On 1/27 at midnight!

D1!

Hey Guys, I've been lurking on this thread for several months and I think I'm about ready to pull the trigger on ordering a new truck. I have noticed that a lot of folks are ordering from Mark Dodge, anyone specific I should ask for? Are there any other dealers that folks have gotten deals at? I've heard Andrea a Chapman and then I thought someone mentioned Koons RAM as well.

Depends on where you’re located. I’m in TX so MD makes sense being in LA. Renae Jamison is who I dealt with.

I just hit up Ram chat to see how accurate they might be. They informed me that my truck is scheduled for delivery to the dealer between 2/14 to 2/28. If it were to arrive on Thur 2/17 this would be week 16 from time of order. Right on schedule from what I was told when ordering. It does seem that the schedules have picked up somewhat for many, but still feel sorry for those that ordered before me and still no movement.

If I would have known it would be that close I would of went with the 295/60 which is 34.1 by 11.5. They also hang out quite a bit also.

True! The 295/70/18 only adds 0.8" to the overall width but a 1.2" height difference. It's enough to fill the wheel well without the possibility of rubbing without modifications. I'm hoping they don't stick out too far as to throw rocks along the quarter panels and doors. May still have to invest in a set of Mopar Mud Flaps to help protect the paint. LOL

Here's a good website for those interested in doing aftermarket tires:

I'm in northern Colorado. I bought from MD, even changed trucks and orders, and dealt with Sandi through it all. She is fantastic! 10/10 rating! My Power Wagon unloaded at Port Allen on Sunday. Once it unloads your comms move to Aaron for delivery. The man is first class also! I began late last week communicating with Marsh Brice in the Business Dept. to get ahead of the cash/financing aspects and he too has been an A1 guy to deal with.
Can't recommend dealing with MD anymore highly!! Now if only the driver gets the truck there today, or tomorrow at latest, I should be able to fly down Saturday and get it!!!

P.S. My MD price was 11.5% below MSRP at order date 12/8. My actual discount is now 14.7% off MSRP after those sticker price increases but they are honoring the Order Date Price. I never even had to ask; they just are.

My experience with MD was the best. 50 days after I placed my order, the truck was on the lot. Aaron got me another 1k off the price at time of delivery. Ended up 14.25% off msrp.

Just spoke to Ram Chat, my 12/15 order is supposedly in transit with a delivery ETA of 2/24 -3/8. Sure hope it's coming on the rail through Lordstown, OH or Cheektowaga, NY and not on a boat to Curtis Bay, MD.

The Port Allen rail yard that they unload at is in Louisiana though. It actually has to pass MD on the train from what I have been told.

That’s quick too. Trim/engine?

Laramie Night Edition with Cummins. Kept my build light on tech options to try to minimize delays, so 8.4 Nav radio and no extra cameras or anything, and no BSM as it wasn't available on the Laramie at the time of my order. Looking at the sheet, they seem to have been pushing through quite a few Laramie builds in the last couple of weeks. Maybe they got a big run of parts for them?

Dealer called after 90 days and said they have a ship date. Any chance someone can check verify my build status to see if they are full of crap or I've finally moved out of D after 3 months. VON - 51818246 VIN - 3C63R3GL3NG193792

Let’s hope. I’m a Laramie Cummins too but loaded except BSM. I’m supposedly D1 now. We shall see
