Upgrading my mirrors .... What IS this ?

Truck could not be ordered with power folding mirrors.

A very helpful member assisted me in finding the correct part numbers for the necessary parts.

There's a cap or plug under the drivers side that I can't identify. I popped it off and there are two wires going to it ....

Any ideas what it is or was going to be?

At the time of the order (Oct 9) it was gray'd out in the dealers ordering system, indicating that it was on restriction. At least on a BigHorn. I think it might have still been available on a Laramie or Limited but that's just a guess.

That does suck. I wish FCA offered some sort of discount for people who got screwed by the chip shortage and features they couldn't order. I imagine some things like the safety group are much more difficult to add after the fact also. I am assuming this upgrade is out of your pocket.

Yessir. But they're giving me a modest credit for the factory mirrors so I'm not entirely unhappy.
It was an important feature for me so I'm just happy I could get it.
Couldn't have done it without the help I received from Jimmy.
