2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Can’t speak for everyone but I’m still here. I watch this thread daily and really enjoy seeing all the trucks getting delivered. I’ve made it my mission to try my best and celebrate everyone’s delivery as well as help others, as others helped me when it was my turn to wait. Every once in a while I learn something new, but lots and lots of redundancy and off-topic chatter. I’m trying to split my time between here and several of the other forum sections. This is an awesome place for knowledge and learning, and definitely some incredible people here. I’m happy I took the time to join and very grateful for everyone who contributes meaningful information and assistance as well as the mods who are doing an awesome job keeping things organized and focused.

Yep, you’re one of the great ones. Always appreciate you.

@Diesel_Addict I was also told a Feb 3 build date but went D1 on Dec 9. I'm also in the dark on a ship date but haven't pushed Sandi for one. And I see we're potential train mates. For quite a while, it was pretty regular that trucks were being built inside of 30 days from achieving D1 status. Makes a guy wonder when you see all the inconsistencies. And....there's quite a few HOs on the sheet that need to be built.

I’ll let you know if I hear anything. Renae told me to call her about a week or so after 3 Feb.

Has anyone who ordered a hemi taken delivery any time recently? Most of the recent trucks I can remember getting delivered have been Cummins. Wondering if it’s a rotation in the build process or if they assemble both on the same lines at the same time

I don’t think they are even the same plant. HD’s are built in Mexico. 1500’s are built in Michigan. I might be wrong on 1500’s, but positive on the HD’s.

Pretty sure he meant hemi HD vs Cummins HD

This is as of a few days ago, but it appears they build plenty of both gas and diesel trucks each day. I don't see much evidence of ramping down one or the other on any given day.

I hadn’t even thought about that. I guess I just assumed they are 24/7 because we run our plant 24/7. I work for Michelin and we are all 24/7. I would like to know as well

I don't know the specifics but it was said before that the Saltillo plant runs either 2 or 3 shifts M-F and then 1 shift on Sat. If I remember correctly, it was 2 shifts M-F.

My window sticker is now unavailable to view via cryptosticker and the database on here... Does that mean anything?

Just wanted to give you a little timeline update since it provides a data point and may help you out. I ordered a few weeks before you on 10/13 from Sandi. I was D1 on 12/7 and then shot past my first ship date of 1/6. Sandi told me it happens all the time and gave me a new POC with a new ship date of 12/29. I finally got my build sheet on 12/27 and now waiting for the window sticker to populate. I was D1 well over 45 days. I'm convinced it was because I put down the bourbon and busted out my good tequila the night before.

Completely Mechanical. You have to push the small tab with your foot - real pain as you have to come at it from front and push down and out toward back. Very heavy spring and not much tab to catch with your foot - Also pain to sto - instructions say dont try by hand. Previous rectangular design (Mopar 2015) that stuck out a bit more was superior in my mind.

Super easy to store. Just give it a bump with your knee from directly behind.

Speaking for the assembly lines in the US both @ GM and Ford plants which I've been involved in contractor work, they usually don't work around the clock to allow time for minor maintenance, working extra time before/after the shift, parts resupply to the line etc. For years, I'd have a crew in during those off hrs in order to slip in and make modifications to equipment so as to pull ahead for any changes in the system. Usually a model change would be released around September +/-, we would often be working on this change the preceding Christmas time, any major holiday, weekends, basically anytime there was available time to swap out/modify/install new or replacement equipment.

Usually means when the window sticker is available that the truck is built and the dealer is invoiced. Should be preparing for shipment.

They run 3 shifts M-F and until noon on Saturday.
