I agree. I, for one will never pay for their Uconnect subscription service that should have been included for free when you pay $95,000 for a truck or pay for an over priced Sirius radio subscription when Apple Music is included with my Verizon phone service. Why do I need to pay $200+ a year for an over priced subscription radio service that is equivalent to a rip-off cable/satellite TV service that gives me very little programming and a whole lot of commercials. I don't subscribe to any of them. What happened to the days when all subscription services were commercial free? I'm guessing they will sucker in the young people that don't know how things use to be.You know if they sell an option for remote start then say it won’t work without a pay for play app I’m guessing that a good attorney would be able to make hay with that. I’m thinking there must have been disclosures.
Anyway that’s what I’m bitching about. Some may say, “You don’t have to buy the brand.” Greed sucks. Just cuz you can charge more and more doesn’t mean you should.
Toyota started the downward spiral a while back. That last is low. Too many companies are doing the same.
