2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

My truck arrived at dealer today. Windshield has a crack emanating from under molding at base of windshield extending up and breaking into two cracks. About 10 inches in length. The driver that delivered stated he had never seen one do this. There was no visible impacts of any kind on the glass. I was also surprised at the amount ash like material in the carpets front and back. Door panels were also dirty. Maybe it had riders in it during the train ride.
Also had that ash material in mine today, no odor though. Sorry to hear about the windshield, hopefully they make it right ASAP.

I'm pretty sure I'm on csx. Truck is coming to Chapman in PA. They are just north of philly, so I'm assuming the endpoint for rail shipping is twin oaks, which is just south of philly.
To be honest, I'm glad it's on a train and not on a boat going to the port of Baltimore.
I’m going to twin oaks. My delivery date is 1/27-2/05

Truck mad it to San Antonio.. One more train to catch to pearland Tx. Loaded my 3500 Carli system for air suspension up and taking it to Outlaw Off Road in Victoria for install.. This is a pic of the Carli System..

Guess I was the camel that broke the camels back. Apparently my stupidity and not knowing what all is required to receive said list equates to laziness on my part and maybe it was discussed in the previous 1000 pages or so previously that I didn’t read‍♂️ Oh well I’ll get it figured out and it’s not like after I purchase the truck I’m unable to get in touch with the salesman and get things figured out that arise at a later date.

Absolutely not! You were being human and excited about your new order. Congratulations!
These folks here are super helpful as is Scuba. Your asking is honoring his work and making it worth it. He’s actually a super guy. Just having a bad day or something.
The list was common sense stuff. You already know it.

Anyone else hear anything about a recent price increase? My brother (not a member here yet) just ordered a Laramie on friday, put his deposit down Friday as well, and then they called him back yesterday and said there was a price increase and raised him $1200 over his initial price. They said the price wasn't protected until FCA accepts the order. I told him I'd check around here, but it seems a little disingenuous to raise the price after taking the deposit. Does he have any recourse? Is this typical? Not the same experience I had with my dealer

wonder what the “normal” rate of price increases usually is…couple times over 6-8 months? base price went up $800ish mid December and now a similar increase a month later….ouch

That’s you. I use mine. And if you get stuck in the desert or mountains you want your manual in a book form not electronically.
The vehicle comes with the manual. As it should. And the app should be free!
There's nothing I can think of in any vehicles manual on how to get unstuck in the desert or mountains. Also you can just save it as a PDF on any device.
Maybe I just dont sweat the small stuff

I wonder what the ash like substance is? Sucks about the windshield and ash stuff but CONGRATULATIONS on your truck. You’ve been waiting a while.

I know, it’s crazy the greed for these massive multi billion dollar companies. I live it and breathe it like we all do but still drives me crazy. Especially when companies like BMW bends over backwards to make their customers happy and customers for life. I still get invites from them to drive their cars on tracks and stay at nice hotels and free NICE dinners after 3 years. And their app is free. Still.
Toyota announced a similar subscription plan back in December but worse than Ram (the update at the end of the story states "the key fob's proximity-based radio frequency remote start function will not work without a paid subscription to Toyota's Remote Connect suite of connected services")

Must have been a ton of feedback from customers:

OK folks...... I'm having members request a copy of my New Truck Checklist, but seems no one wants to provide me the necessary information to receive this checklist without having to continually repeat myself in messages. I just don't have time to babysit these individuals. This tells me people are too lazy to provide simple instructions such as an email in which to send or a format Word/Excel they need the Checklist. People always want anything they can get for free without having to think about or process the information themselves. I put a lot of thought process and hours into creating this checklist for myself and let me tell you, it was a God Send in helping me to keep track of important items I needed to keep in mind once I arrived at the dealership because taking delivery is so exciting you forget the important things to check.

Or perhaps you could have put it up on Google drive or another sharing service, or ask someone to do this and then send a PM or report the post and request to update the thread with the info.

Talk about having to babysit. Sheesh.

Place your orders Ladies and Gentlemen - cost has no where to go but UP.

Raw Materials UP, Parts UP, Labor UP, Fuel UP, Transportation UP, Wages up (joke?): - 7% Inflation. (7% of $80k is $5600)
Lololol...wages are definitely not up....well not as much as everything else.

You know if they sell an option for remote start then say it won’t work without a pay for play app I’m guessing that a good attorney would be able to make hay with that. I’m thinking there must have been disclosures.
Anyway that’s what I’m bitching about. Some may say, “You don’t have to buy the brand.” Greed sucks. Just cuz you can charge more and more doesn’t mean you should.
Toyota started the downward spiral a while back. That last is low. Too many companies are doing the same.

If it's on the east side of the Mississippi River it's on a CSX train.
