1.75” Coils with No Shocks?

Curious what everyone thinks could be any issues I could end up with if I install my new 1.75” lift coils in the front of my 2022 3500 Cummins now and run them with the stock shocks while I await the four Fox Shocks from CJC. They helped me pick the kit and recommended the 1.75” Thuren coils and the 4 Fox shocks that they match with the Carli kits. They said this would be the best setup for my truck since it has rear auto level air suspension to fit my 37” Nittos on 20” Hostiles that I saved off my ‘20 Ram 2500 Cummins.

I’m just ready to get the 37’s on this truck asap and the Fox shocks are another three weeks out. Thanks for any and all input here.
 
Best case scenario, you don't have any problems and everything works great. Worst case scenario, you overextend the stock shocks and rip them apart.
Only you can tell if it is worth the risk.

I was also told the stock shocks are a little too short for the amount of travel the Thuren coils would allow for. I've seen a couple examples (PD diesel youtube) who are running them stock so maybe it would work in the short term if you take it easy but I would probably hit up Thuren to double check.

Not quite…the relaxed length of the lift springs (required extended shock length) is likely a fair bit longer than stock springs + 1.75”.
The 1.75” of lift you gain with the weight of the truck over them probably come from 2-3” of extra “relaxed” spring length

Yes but you should be installing shocks at ride height so they will reach the mount locations the only time i would worry on these trucks is if you were allowing the axle to go to full droop
 
They have shock extenders you can bolt on, cost about $30. They are brackets you bolt on where the bottom shock mount goes and will allow you to run a stock length shock with a leveling kit or springs. If they say 3 weeks for shocks the way things are backed up your wait may be much longer than that, it's a crapshoot so it may be worth using the shock extenders.
