Rear view mirror sensor size

Hi all,

I am looking to order a cover craft sun shade while my truck is in transit, but I came across an option that I’m hoping someone can confirm my thoughts.

My 22 PW is level 2 with safety and tow group, so I am assuming I would have the larger 10 inch sensor. Can anyone who has a similar set up confirm if this would be correct?

It’s large 10” sensor I think. That’s what’s in my Limited 2500, but different trims obviously.

just speaking to the cover craft, I ordered one and sent it back cause I didn’t like the it.

I’ve always liked l the heavier accordion style ones as compared to the roll up custom fit ones. They seemed to fit better.

Not the case. I tried the cover craft one and a couple others off of Amazon.

No one is making one right now that fits the way I like it.

I actually ordered one of the heat shield roll up ones on Black Friday but sent it back because it felt flimsy. Figured I’d try the cover craft. But for $60+ didn’t like the way the cover craft fit.

Might go back to the original heat shield one. It was flimsy but fit the best of all the ones I’ve tried.

I had one for my ford off of Amazon that fit like a glove. Ordered the same for the Hyundai. Fits like a glove. Unfortunately they aren’t making one for the newer HD’s yet.

May I suggest getting a ceramic heat blocking “tint” (clear film) applied to the windshield. Way better tech than the car shades that are stuck in the 70s and continues working while you’re driving

Yea I’m considering that and still doing a bit of research on it. I’ve heard mixed things with having some electrical issues after doing the windshield due to water, but assuming the installer takes the necessary precautions that (hopefully) shouldn’t be an issue.

I got the tint.

But when I go on a trip for several days and leave my car parked in the parking lot during the 110°+ heat of a Phoenix summer you still want a shade.

Hell even if you have to just run into someplace for a quick bit in the Phoenix summer you WANT a sunshade.

Sunshades still matter and make a difference in the desert. Tiny alone isn’t getting it done.

I could see that. I am in central FL and our summers are pretty bad as well plus the truck will live outside 24/7.

It’s the sun. The sun in AZ is different than anywhere else I’ve ever been. The sun in AZ during the summer is soul crushing. It will destroy a dash in no time and the radiant heat that it puts into your car when it’s parked outside is indescribable.
