2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

My KY order was shipped via Union Pacific Railway from Saltillo to San Antonio then to the Hearne, TX yard where it currently sits headed to Memphis, TN for interchange on or around Jan 18. I believe that it will then transfer to the CSX Railway into Nashville, TN.
My dealer says that all of their deliveries are trucked from Nashville.

Mine made the interchange in Memphis this morning. In route to Hopkinsville, KY via the Nashville rail hub.

Setting aside all of the packages/equipment groups, etc- this will stand true for any 2022 HD Ram, regardless of trim level:
-If the truck is equipped with a digital rear view mirror, it will have the connector port on the driver side of the rear license plate for the wired tow mode camera.
-If the truck is not equipped with a digital rear view mirror, it will have a blank cover on the driver side of the license plate, where the tow mode camera port would be.
-If the truck is equipped with the surround view system for the truck itself, it will have the 12-pin/7-pin trailer connector on the passenger side of the rear license plate.
-If the truck is not equipped with surround view system for the truck itself, it will have the 4-way/7-way trailer connector on the passenger side of the rear license plate.
-Whether or not the truck is equipped with a digital rear view mirror has nothing to do with the 12/7 or 4/7 trailer connector.
A very good and informative synopsis.

Now as to what connectors might be in the bed.

I understand NO FAKRA Tow Mode Camera connector in bed regardless of Digital Mirror status (what a pain! - hopefully someone in Engineering will fix soon)
Also NO connectors of any kind with RAMBOX regardless of other options (also a pain!)
But what determines whether you get and connectors in bed and whether 12/7 or 7/4 pin connector.

My 3500 dually will be arriving at mark dodge in the next few weeks. I’m thinking of having it transported to maryland about 1400 miles away. If you had your truck on transport was there any problems and would you do it again.

I have surround view and 5th wheel package and have the 12/7 connector in my bed and bumper. I do not have the digital rearview or tow package or the connector on the left side of the plate.

5th wheel prep or mounted hitch is what gives you the connectors in the bed, and it will be the same style as the one on the bumper. You can’t get either of those options if equipped with rambox, therefore, no bed connector.

Mine has the digital rear view mirror and surround view but in the equipment list it still shows the four pin plug whereas other people that have those options say they didn't get the four pin trailer connector but only the seven pin connector.

So what’s the fastest anyone has gone to D1 to production? I see some that seam to be 3-8 weeks. I’m trying to decide before I cancel since I’m 17 weeks tomorrow still D. dealers rep still won’t try to fix dealers mistake on clicking tow tech that kicked level 1 out that I figured out 2 weeks in that they also clicked on saround view kit $995 digital rear view mirror $945 and trailer camera $545 and only one of those options I wanted was digital rear view mirror. Yes I found the 2500 then that HO pops in back of my mind and I think yes I will sell this one for my ordered one then I go back to the option mistake and I’m upset and also 17 weeks nothing for one single update. Struggle is real but definitely not been a good first time ordering experience

I ordered on 12/4. D1 on 12/13. Window sticker and equipment list on 1/10. Currently on a train somewhere between OKC and twin oaks PA.

Your truck will come with the 12/7 trailer connector. The equipment listing will list 4/7 connector under standard equipment, but the optional equipment will always replace standard equipment. Since surround view is optional, the 12/7 connector that comes as a result of that option will trump the standard 4/7 connector equipment.

Here's the route I pieced together for the route from Saltillo to Memphis, based upon calling the UP and CSX 1-800 numbers with the rail car number. My 6/21 order departed Saltillo on 1/10 or 1/11 and arrived in Memphis at 2:43 AM on 1/16 It spent a day in San Antonio, TX and a day in Little Rock, AR. Delivery is estimated 1/31-2/14.

I picked my truck up on Tuesday! Definitely worth the wait! I can’t wait to see how it does pulling our camper this spring. 260 miles now and 1 gas station stop since the full tank from the dealer. Everything works perfect although I did have one hiccup with the 8.7 inch screen and my iPhone 13 Pro Max. CarPlay and everything was working fine but when making a phone call there was no audio. I did a soft reset and it has worked perfect sense. This forum will be my go to for sure. You guys are great!
