2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

I had asked earlier but did not get a reply, so apologies for asking again.

But when a dealer gives an estimated start of build date, is that usually accurate these days? Or is it more of a moving target?
Moving target.

Out of curiousity, my dealer says I 've got a ship date of 1/23. Since it is probalby going to vendor for bed lining, power steps, rear deployable step & who knows what else, when will it be built to head to vendor? How do you find out when cryptostickers doesn't say till build sheet?

It really is an estimate and it could take much longer than the estimate. The good dealers will warn you about the potential for a lengthy wait. Based on the data coming out of this forum (take a look at thee crowd-sourced spreadsheet on page one), build times are all over the place. I would say that it looks like build times have been more stable of late, but you should set your expectations that you could be in for a longer wait. Also, be aware that after the truck gets built, the shipping times can also be highly variable, particularly on the last leg between rail yard and the dealer.

I am working with Mark Dodge, which I gather is one of the better dealerships. They told me ~20 weeks when I ordered, and when they told me 2/2 for the estimated start of build date I was not cautioned that it could be a wildly inaccurate date. I guess time will tell.

Awe
I just got the call yesterday from MD that my 22 Limited HO is ready! Now its time for a Zoom meeting with Finance and a flight from VA to LA to pick up!!! For reference here is my time frame:

Ordered: 10.19.21
Sticker Pop: 12.20.21
Rail Ship Date: 12.28.21
Ramp Arrival (Port Allen LA): 1.7.22
Arrived at MD: 1.11.22
Awesome looking rig, super similar to what I ordered and love seeing the 3ish month timeline, let us know how you like it!

How do I know what status my order is in?
Best source is your dealer. You should have a VON and hopefully a POC (Priced Order Confirmation) sheet with status at top (as of time sheet was printed). Yu should have a VIN a few days after you order (unless you are in Canada). Once you have VON and VIN, you can try RamChat, but experiences vary but in general are not very helpful.

Wait a few weeks and check with dealer on status (you may get an updated POC sheet with then current status)

My truck finally arrived at the CSX Orlando facility yesterday at 3:00 PM. It still doesn't appear to have been checked in though. After the check in it's a matter of the dealer making arrangements to have it picked up. They are estimating five days for that part but we'll see...

I got my VIN yesterday. Is ramchat just literally the chat function where you chat with a representative and ask questions?

I accepted the wait. I even doubted it would be here within 120 days. THE problem is they have skipped over earlier CUSTOMER SOLD orders as old as mine while DELIVERING dealer and sold orders taken in Sept, Oct, Nov. You can't pin supply issues on that.
I'm in the same boat with a 4 August order date. I would understand if other trucks with the options I ordered just weren't being built due to supply shortages, but that doesn't seem to be the situation at all when you look at other build sheets for trucks ordered way after ours.

All he would tell me is D status. So now I k ow that but don’t have a clue what that means lol
Awaiting parts, or as RAMChat likes to say "scheduling phase of the manufacturing process"

The codes are at the bottom of this tread...

Yes it is. They are very helpful.
I can tell you're new here because you say they are helpful. Ram Chat doesn't even give out status codes which tells you where the truck is at for production and shipping and a lot of times the information that they do give out is out of date or just inaccurate. Your salesman or sales manager is the best source for accurate information. When you have been on this forum for a while and read a lot of the other member's post you will see what I'm talking about.

@brv10 informed me my truck is sitting at the train yard waiting for a delivery truck but it’s gone into KZLD , has this happened to anyone before waiting on pickup from the train yard before transfer to the dealer ?
my 4500 has been KZ for a month now - no idea where it is.......
