2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

About 4 months is normal from what I have seen before you hear anything. Ram Chat is a waste of time and so is trying to figure out how Ram works. Truck will show up soon

I figure it will be 4-6 months yet. Not good experience when lots 3 hours around me have inventory with similar orders or seeing how many on the chart here have been built after me I think around 4 months is good round number for average order to delivery. I was told at order 3-4 months without sunroof 5-6 months with sunroof and I think the rep told dealer bad info. I seen the email they showed it to me what rep sent them for what things can hold it up when ordering a timeline I listened to them I do wish I found this wonderful group sooner I’d gone to different dealer and ordered differently for sure

Hey y’all. I’m in the DFW area and I ordered (‘22 2500 mega cab Limited CTD, loaded. Sunroof & rear air included) with with Mark Dodge on 12/8. I reached out to them yesterday and was told that my truck is scheduled to begin production on 2/2, which is way sooner than I expected!

Not sure how long it will take to actually show up, but I’m beginning to get excited.
Reading other posts, it seems like my timing is super fast. Is that correct? Or is the 2/2 start of production just a flag on the calendar that may end up moving waaaaay out?

Please keep the posts on topic related to builds and orders and refrain from disparaging remarks regarding other member's builds.
I’m with you never ordering a car again. This is the third vehicle I ordered this year and all of them had to be cancelled.

There may be a Common Denominator here.. dont order every extreme custom luxury bs option and expect it there in a month, theres a name for that..
I feel like most of us that ordered a modest optioned truck had it made in what we consider a reasonable amount of time. Or maybe the workers just like building sensible working trucks. ;)

In all honesty the plant is probably just building whatever keeps things moving efficiently. Gotta wait for what YOU ordered. As to not stick someone else with your custom truck and clog up the assembly line multiple times. Just sayin.

So I got a control number November 9 2021 was told they going to look into my order got 0 from them till today January 11 2022 still no info zero movement but they stated in email they have highest priority on this!!!! Lmao what a joke!! Nice it took little more then 48 hours to respond lol I’m so over this experience
Yeah, customer care with this outfit is a JOKE! Though not as long as you, I too am waiting on the hallowed update from them. They promise updates in 24-48 hours and then never send a thing! I am trying to be as big a pest as possible without actually getting ugly with anyone. So, I called again today and they gave me the same line as they did you. “The rep handling your case has requested it be expedited, but he is waiting for an update on your case himself.”

Apparently no one in the organization has the power to impose consequences on folks that aren’t doing their job.

And it would be nice to actually talk to the great and powerful “brand mentor” instead of the operator that just has to put you on hold and ask him for info. Though I did finally get names for these guys! Andrew and James… think I’ll ask to speak directly to them tomorrow!

Bud, you’re totally missing the forest for the trees! The complaint for for guys like owdiss78 is that trucks with THE SAME OPTIONS he ordered are being built and shipped to dealers even though they were ordered months after his!

Some people like owdiss and others i do feel for and agree should have their truck looked into. But cancelling multiple times or others that have stories of their old truck being built in the same week as the new one, may not be helping their own situation or others.

Seems like consumerism at its worst. Expecting a perfect, custom, amazing vehicle weighing 8,000 lbs with a cummins etc delivered to your door within months, and complaining the whole way. Meanwhile a factory is busting their butts.

Im not saying dont get what you want with your hard earned money. But its like being in traffic, dont complain about all the people going to a popular place and dont expect to get there fast. You know theres gonna be traffic so leave early and be grateful when you get there.

I can’t speak for everyone, but in my case at least, it IS as much about managing expectations as anything. I agree with you on that point. But the rep was on speaker with my salesman and I heard him say 8-10 weeks 12 at the most when I ordered. 12 weeks was 12/24 for me. My chief complaint is not with the workers not doing enough, it’s with the way my concerns are being managed! My dealer is taking delivery of trucks built well after mine while mine sits. I am a reasonable guy, but when my truck gets leapfrogged for shipping I have a legit complaint. It is the lack of attention to legit complaints that I feel is the real problem!

I’m ok with people coming on here and venting, complaining, or whatever about Ram, dealers, salesman, etc. What IS not ok is complaining about other members and the content they post! If you don’t like it or the trucks that they worked hard to buy weather it’s a Basic Tradesman ORRRRR a loaded to the gills Limited MegaCab Dually, how about just finding another thread or better yet, just keep comments to yourself, or go complain to your wife. We are a collective group of consumers here to buy numerous levels of a product. The “shame” game doesn’t belong in this thread.

The daily complaints on how Stellantis isn't treating you right aren't making it to anyone that matters. I understand the need to vent, but at some point you're just complaining to a bunch of other consumers with no ability to change things. If you want your voice to matter, write a letter to Stellantis.

Well when you see more optioned limited at a dealer lot or on the chart ordered after your own order I say bs. I’ve never had this kinda loaded truck it’s a limited mega cab with air ride ,HO dual alternator , and dealer clicked on tow technology not my choice I wanted level 1 but said I guess if stereo sounds good then I’m fine with it I don’t need all the other stuff. I’ve worked my ass off for many years to pay off all debts and my truck was paid for that I got in 2015 so how I choose to order is my business I’m not rich I’m not broke just decided I wanted to have a really extra nice truck to travel with for camping and daily driving it’s my only vehicle. But it does piss me off seeing twins to my order sitting on a lot or seeing someone’s order just like mine that was ordered 11/20/22 but mine was skipped or others before me also. But anyway yes everyone order all they want and if they want all those useless luxuries then so be it!!!!

Does anyone have the e-mail address for the president/CEO of Stellantis so we can take this directly to the top. Crap tends to roll down hill but doesn't make it's way up.

Ok so I just found this forum and I’m not sure if it’s a blessing or a curse. Some of yalls stories give very high hopes and some give major anxiety lol. This is my first time ordering a vehicle and I had no idea it was this stressful waiting. On 12/30/2021 I ordered a 22 2500 bighorn with the lowest package that I could get the sport and off-road package with a center console. Nothing fancy on the truck The dealer said they were telling people 10-12 weeks and that seemed like a long time but reading this thread I feel like maybe I’m in for a longer wait….. what has been the general consensus on average wait times?

So just to lighten things up a bit......Went to my dealer today to check the status of my truck. It appears that it is sitting in Mechanicville NY at the train depot waiting for a nice Hot Shot to come by and pick her up! What I am really amazed at is my sales kid, yes kid, he is 25 years old and works his butt off. He bends over backwards, is beyond polite, respectful and does his best to answer any questions. Today we got all my paperwork and financing lined up for when the truck comes in, worked up the trade numbers on my 2018 and made me one happy customer. It's very nice to see a young kid who loves his job and treats the customer so well. I see an Amazon gift card in his future!

I may emphasize on the options to nudge at somes things i personally may not even want if it was free. But your right ordering a custom truck with a ton of cool options isnt an issue. Time expectancy for such a nice truck should be a bit more relaxed.

Sorry to every one for my bad experience and venting here!!!! I was the happiest man to order for the first time in his life what he wanted for a vehicle never done it before. I am very disappointed to say the least with my experience. For those who have had a great experience I’m happy for you all I’m happy and excited for you all. Yes I purchased a 2500 that was no different then what I wanted ordered or thought I ordered till I found dealers mistake a week after order and they didn’t want to reorder and I said well you will make it right when I take delivery for the $1500 worth of wrong options. And I can say this the truck is amazing with all the luxuries I’ve never had. I don’t want anyone to have this bad experience it sucks I wish I could make a difference for everyone

Hey OfficerDirtySanchez! Dealer called and my truck is at the dealership as of 2022-01-07. I'll be headed to the dealership this Thursday to finalize the paperwork. I tried to update your spreadsheet myself, but it won't allow me so you will have to make the entries! I'll post some pics when I have some time..... Super Excited!!!!!

On May 17 I ordered a Laramie, mega, night edition, hemi, level A, protection group, anti spin, side steps, spray in liner, 8.4 screen. NOT a heavily optioned truck. I was told it could be 120 days at that time. It was built on Nov 19. Still not here. There is nothing even close to reasonable about waiting 8 months.

That sucks you guys have had such a poor experience. My sales person Renae told me from the day I ordered that things were tough and I’ll probably not see my truck for 5 months. My friend ordered a BMW was waiting 5-6 months too.
We all know that Ram sucks at communication and so do the other manufacturers. We also KNOW that these times we’re in are unique and totally screwed up.
Before you commit to never ordering a vehicle again keep what I said in mind. Right now is not the time to make such a final statement.
Ordering a new vehicle is the way to go! You get the best deal on exactly what you want. It typically only takes about 8-12 weeks for a special ordered vehicle. When I get vehicles I just keep that in mind and go into it eyes wide open.
