Greetings folks,

Lately been having some thoughts of trading in my '21 2500 longhorn megacab w/ 16k miles, going up every day. Phenomenal truck and I have had next to no problems with it. After being in one of the Limiteds with indigo/frost interior, I have taken a liking to that when compared to the tan leather in the LH.
Built a '22 2500 MC to my preferences today at the dealer, and would bring me to around 10k out the door for an upgrade to a limited.
MSRP between the two trucks is about 6k more on the Limited. Limited would offer me the interior, UC5 (hesitant after hearing of problems... but wireless carplay would be great), aux switches, air ride, and the night edition, as well as bringing the odometer back to 0.
I have wheels/tires on my current ride, as well as tint and ceramic, everything else can be removed.

My question to you folks, are there any known issues on CTD '22's that I am missing? I am very tempted to make the upgrade and get the few things I am missing on my current '21.
Do I value the extras at 10k? Yeah probably... Just wanting to see what the folks on here that are smarter than me have to say :D

The CTD will be the same, so no issues. You'll definitely enjoy the upgraded features the Limited has to offer. I have a Longhorn Limited. The leather if premium and it's full leather. So dash, door cards and everywhere on the seats will be leather. Not lower grade leather like the Laramie which is only on the seating surfaces. Headlights are better. Full LED with directional that work great and all the optional stuff you have to add on the Laramie are standard on the Limited. That Indigo/Frost interior is killer! Will be a good choice. I never had a Laramie. But had a BH and Tradesman. Major upgrade for me. Owning a Limited is like night and day!

I love the quality of the interior on the longhorn, as well as those headlights! Theyre like laser beams :D

You could probably order one and sell yours and come out 20k ahead.
Kbb has my truck spot on with what the dealer offered me. For simplicity sake, im fine with doing a trade through them. Less time I need to deal with tire kickers and lowballers.

Also dealer would be ok with locking in my trade value when I put down a deposit!

Are you going to lose the sales tax you paid? I am not sure how Florida does their sales tax with regard to trade-ins. Out here in Kalifornia, they tax the entire amount of the sale and do not offset the cost of the trade-in. If it was just the seats you wanted to upgrade you could go with Katskins and get a better quality leather seat.

Id only pay sales tax on the remainder after trade in value, roughly 8k.
Did think about kats, but as I look more online, I like the more discrete colors on the limited dash and accents compared to the LH.

I'm doing exactly what your telling us.. I found the dealers will give you more then the kelly blue book buy it now offer.. plus the money you save on tax.. 21 laramie to a 22 limited.. I'm at ep price, so there not Jacking it up on the other end either..

Just a quick note, I dont think you can get the indigo/front interior on a night edition truck. Correct me if I am wrong but I would have ordered my truck that way if I was able to. I think Night Edition only allows black interior.

You are correct, I tried to do that, it would only work with black.

Yep, found out I can’t do the frost interior with the night package…
Ended up ordering a new ride yesterday, now the wait begins!
