2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Well here she is. Got her back from AllSouth on Friday. The last pic is the 95 siverado that this one replaced.
Whoa! You can't leave us with such little info on such a beautiful truck! What color is that and those tires, what brand and what size? Whatever your answers, man it works!

I don't know the average, but I had a VON (vehicle order number?) from the dealer build sheet, and I gave that to Ram Chat, and they told me the VIN.

My Dealer hasn't heard anything. I will call Ramchat tomorrow when they open. One guy told me it took 20 weeks to get his. Thanks for the info!

Curious what everyone’s experience has been with the T/T/R beyond the purchase price. Wisconsin where I live is currently 5.5% sales tax so I that’s easy enough to figure out,
checking out the state DMV site it looks like another $340 for title and registration.
I assume the dealer will add a processing fee to process the title and registration, and according to the WI DMV site it just states “licensed dealer will process registration and tilted” doesn’t say if I can drive away and handle that on my own.

Anyrate, what other fees and additional money should I be aware of before I sign papers? Not looking to understand financing, just any other “hidden” costs y’all experienced. Thanks

I will be 16 weeks tomorrow never been out D status and not one honest answer from ram chat with emails or calls no info from dealer or their rep. Some win the ram lotto and get in 8 weeks some way behind so it’s all a gamble. For the vin I got it in 2 days no movement since

Most all Dealers have a DOC Fee!! As I understand this fee is associted with completing all documents regarding the purchasing, titling and registration of your vehicle. Your dealer is probably not going to allow you to NOT pay this doc fee. Therefore you just as well allow them to complete the State Taxes, Title, Registration and Tags. WI Dealer Doc Fee is capped at $152 as of 2021. Since all the state DMV's are pretty much tied together on the internet, your dealership can complete all the necessary documents at the dealership and the Tags, Title and registration will be mailed to your home address. Dealer will provide a temp tag (Usually 30 days) so you can drive the vehicle until your permanent tags arrive in the mail. In other words your State Tax, Title, Registration and Tags fees will be paid to the dealership. Therefore make sure you understand your State Fees and that the dealership doesn't inflate them for additional profit. Hope this helps.

I will be 9 or 10 year ceramic coating depends on which mfg I decide to go with.

I think I got it all.
Man, I shouldn’t have asked. You pretty much killed me. That’s the best Carli system and all the Carli options too and Carli is also the best. Baja Designs are also the best. You went top of the line through and through. I like that!

Wow! As I said I listed my existing truck today. (In my signature is the description) but a ‘06 Laramie Cummins 4x4. The autotrader add will go live tomorrow and the Facebook marketplace went live around 4:30 today. Someone came by at 6:00 and I think they’ll probably buy it but they want a day to think. It’s listed at $31,000 and I told them I’m firm with the price.
It’s crazy how it’s worth so much. I bet it’ll sell in a week without me having to lower my price.

Understand some options can slow the build process. I ordered the trailer monitoring system that includes the the tire pressure sensors for the tow trailer. Anyone aware of this option could possibly slowing down the build cycle due to limited parts? Remember someone mentioning floor mats was a big show stopper. Not sure if the TPMS system is also. Thanks.

you must be a Canadian order? you don't get a vin till trucks built is from what another member has said on here. only us builds get vins right away.

Anything CAN be a hang up. The more you option on, the more chances are that a part could be waited on.
The most common options I hear are hang ups are sun roofs, blind spot monitoring and camera packages. Night edition and 5th wheel trailer prep packages are also hang ups .

Haha. Was thinking same thing! Wish I could get EVERYTHING on my wish list, right out of the gate!

VINs for US orders are available in a couple of days, VINs for Canadian orders seem to be delayed until truck is built ???

TTPMS sensors were a holdup back in October, but about 20+ trucks built in JS status but waiting for the sensors - all broke free in a couple of days. Could happen again I guess, but same is true for any of trailer specific add ons.

I'm at 33 weeks today and no truck. In 7 more days it will be a full 8 months. I have found that Ramchat is a waste of time. You may be one of the luckier ones though.
