Center High Mount Camera

Would you hold off on getting a new radio then or get it just to make sure?
son said he was going to reinstall old radio cause it has free siris xm activated new radio doesn't. plus its not the radio its software.

Speaking of bed cameras, with mine tilted all the way down, I still can't see the bed. Hell, I can't even see the tailgate. Can those be adjusted so they show SOMETHING that I want to see? The bed.
none adjustable is fixed

Pretty much makes that camera in the cyclops light redundant and worthless as tits on a boar. Shows almost the same view as the backup camera. Only higher.

Are you talking about the camera view in the digital rear view mirror? That camera is also mounted in the center stop lamp, but supposed to show behind the truck. It has option to tilt up and down.

The cargo view camera, being discussed here shows the view of the truck bed and displays on the unonnect center console screen. No tilt feature.

Exactly, in the cyclops light. Worthless....shows same view as backup camera does. It won't tilt down far enough to show even the tailgate. Doesn't do what I wanted for sure. Was hoping it at least aided me in hooking up my 5th wheel.

It is advertised to help in case you have something inside the truck (tall person in center back seat) or something tall in the truck bed, (but not taller than the stop lamp.) Either of those scenarios will make the view from a regular rear view mirror useless. The digital rear view mirror provides a continuous live feed even when driving forward at any speed. The camera view is supposed to appease the tall things blocking views. The backup camera only shows when backing up or for 10 second intervals when selected while driving forward.

But Another option with the digital rear view camera is the ability to add a camera on the back of a trailer via a 50’ cable and provide live feed to the rear view mirror. That camera and cable is XH7 and seems very useful for towing campers or other tall trailers that you cannot see behind.

Again, this discussion was about the cargo view camera. Which is a totally different thing. It does look in the truck bed. Sound like that’s what you want.

New radio fixed mine...
Was your cargo camera showing a blue screen or another issue? Picked up my 2022 2500 Laramie after 6 months and found the cargo camera displaying a blue screen at the dealer defective straight from the factory… so lame.
