2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

How often does the spreadsheet get updated? Do we need to do anything else after we put in our info?
@Dgprints , normally several times a day, but @OfficerDirtySanchez has been travelling the past few days. We should see some updates to the tracking sheet tomorrow or Monday. I am pretty sure that the factory has been shut down since Christmas, so nothing is really happening in at the factory anyway. There were some window stickers updated on the 29th, but that is the only movement I have seen. My build has been in G status since the 23rd or so.

Are you sure you want to pay the freight for such a long haul? Overall, would probably cost you more than if you just bought the rig in OR or WA. I’m buying from Dave Smith in Kellogg, ID.

Dave Smith was a no go for me as well, didn’t want the business

Well since my order is 4 months in and I need a truck I’m buying off a lot. I pulled in why traveling Friday to a dealer because they had several longhorns and limiteds found a 2500 that is optioned identical to my 3500 order. Sales lady came and talked to me what it takes to get me in that truck I tossed out higher price then I’m getting from ordering dealer by $3000 and I want friends family pricing. She went talked to sales manager came back and said we can do that I was shocked so got all set up for Monday to go get. I want my 3500 still but 4 months in no movement no answers I’m gambling I can easily sell the 2500 when my ordered 3500 comes in some day maybe before 2023. Has anyone decided to do the same gamble?

Mark Dodge only uses Central Dispatch. Are you trying to find transport on your own? If so, why not use their service?
I was doing the research and spoke with brokers and got pricing I planned on asking MD as well figuring they do it often enough to know a reputable carrier.
But as you say they use a broker and brokers are finding carriers and not all carriers are created equal. After reading a lot and listening to advice of others I feel it’s not worth the risk for my $83,000 vehicle. I’ll fly down and drive back.
The warnings that 223500drw refers to are the same I’ve been seeing on line and on YouTube. Scuba66 also makes some great points but I’m not in the know and don’t know a great consistent broker.

I feel that maybe a great idea. I would like to know how it all works out for you. I’m betting you could sell it and not loose a dime. The only thing that would be a deal breaker is 2500 limited has a 1900+ payload and the 3500 limited is 3716lb.

Yeah I kbb a 2021 just to see because 22 isn’t an option to get a value yet or at least i couldn’t anyway but a 21 trade value same options is $4000 more then I’m paying for this 2500 and I won’t be pulling till spring.

Also sadly if you see the chart here of vin list it was pry ordered 2 days before my order. Again just ready for new truck and no end in sight for even being built after 4 months

I feel your pain and frustration. If you need a truck now you gotta do what your doing. Luckily I am able to wait and also it’s easy for me to talk right now as I bet I’ll have my truck in less then a month. It was built 12/20 and Renae told me I’d have a 5 month wait so I was prepared.
I feel if Stellantis had a way for us to track our own vehicles process it’d be easier on us all. Them too. I also think that they should actually make Ram Cares, CARE! Those two things would go far with customer satisfaction and experience.
In 2014 I was able to track everything about my Jeep all the way to the dealer from the Mopar site. With my 2019 BMW I was able to do the same but had to use a maritime ship tracking site for the ocean voyage.
I really hate to say this, and I actually don’t think Stellantis follows this forum as some here have inferred. But RAM DOESN’T CARE. And I have been a Ram drivin dude since 1990 and only strayed once from 2002-2006 with a Duramax. I’ll probably be a Ram drivin dude as long as they have a Cummins too.

Yeah all I been trying to get is honest info what is going on yea I want the 3500 I ordered but also need something to move very soon but still nothing. Sad when so many trucks just like my order sitting on lots or ordered after my build on this group and I’m still no movement at all it could be 6 months yet. Just don’t want to pass up a 3rd truck what lll that is twin to what I ordered

do the laramie’s come with led headlights ? led chips or bulbs ?

Limited models come with LED projectors that turn with the steering wheel, something like 15 or 20 degrees. Laramie models come with a reflective housing that has LEDs. Pictures for reference.

Yeah I'm wondering at this point where will it stop? These trucks are getting crazy high in prices. The only upgrades would be that bigger cab and better materials but I can't see them making the huge jump as I see trucks listed for 100k.

I have a 2021 1500 Longhorn with the 5th generation cab and I'm not seeing all that much difference, at least not enough to warrant the price increase that I see mentioned here.

I think that is only for their free delivery of up to 250 miles. I inquired and was told that if you use that service then your new truck is driven to you, not transported on a single flat bed or anything like that. Whoever drives your truck will then drive your trade in back if you are trading in.
What I don’t know is how the delivery works if you are not trading in. Whoever drove your truck will need a ride back. So I guess they will have a tail driver to return him back to his starting point.

Has anyone who got an airport delivery (obviously didn't trade in to MD) noticed a tail driver to bring back whoever delivered your truck?

Howdy folks, just checking in as I thought several might be wondering about me. We evacuated on moments notice Thursday afternoon, a bad fire pushed by 100 plus MPH winds heading our way. Our house was spared by two blocks to the south, and 5 to the west, thanks be to GOD.

And yes, I drove the new truck out through the heavy smoke and ash falling.

Was finally able to come home today, electric, but no gas and single digit temps. Got space heaters going to keep the pipes from freezing, and lots of blankets to keep me from freezing.
Glad that you are all safe. That fire is beyond frightening. Hopefully the gas and peoples lives will return to normal quickly, especially with the frigid temps that have settled in. This disaster will take a long time to recover for hundreds of others however.
