2019-2022 Dually largest oversized tire on stock wheels/truck?

I'm not replacing wheels. I'll keep the Alcoa wheels that come in the truck.

per the website the approved wheels size for 17" 6.5 - 8 in is that not a problem? i would love those tires too but that concerns me.

Not a problem. Look, for around 60 years or more people have been putting 33x12.5 and 35x12.5 tires on factory truck and jeep wheels. The world never ended, the tires went round and round and baby seals didn't die.

Consider that crap a recommendation, to be followed if convenient. But based on documented history of the American heterosexual male with relation to oversized tires, there is plenty of factual evidence from jeep and truck owners over many decades that says that it's all going to be okay.

I run 37x13.50-18 on 8"wide wheels. They wear flat and true, balance out fine and ride great. I bet Cooper doesn't say that this is cool, but I never look at that stuff.

It took 3 weeks to get my Ridge Grapplers

Let's go Brandon!!

I plan on going with Nitto Ridge Grappler 255/80R17 in a few months. Here are a few pictures I snapped of someone elses 2020 Ram 3500 a couple of months ago. He told me they are installed on stock rims With Out Spacers and don't rub anywhere. He was in a hurry for an appoint or else I would have gotten more pictures

Are you running a spacer with the 255/80-17's?.....I think these are about 20MM (3/4") wider and 32MM (1 1/4") taller than the stock 235/80-17's.....this is the size that I was thinking about going to once my OE tires wear out or need to be replaced. Thanks for the pics....if you get a chance can you take a pic between the DRW's...I'm trying to see how close these make the gap. Thanks again for the pics.

No, I am not running any spacers

I didn't think so....my only concern with running this size (I'm sure many others are running them without and issue) would be due to the tires being closer the build up of heat while hauling a load/towing heavy. I really don't want to run spacers.

So far, no issues for me, but I'm currently not towing over 10,000 pounds. Others here, running the same size tires, are towing 15,000 or more with no issues

I would like to see a picture of the space between the tires as well. I think
you would need some type of spacer if you are narrowing the gap between
the tires when installing the 255/80-17's. By narrowing the gap a little over 3/4"
(20mm = .787"), I would think you would be getting pretty close to rubbing when
you are loaded.
