2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

For you Canadian guys (I'm in BC Lower Mainland):
I ordered August 19 a Bighorn CCSB 6.7 SO 3500 4x4 in maximum steel Metallic. Truck was built Nov 28 and is supposedly being shipped now. Salesman said to expect the truck in February. I'm sure this is more about managing expectations and I hope to get the truck a bit earlier. I paid MSRP. Dealer sales manager called to confirm I would take delivery before he had the factory ship the truck. I was told the truck could fetch $10k over MSRP price at a dealer WHOLESALE auction. If you think you are going to get invoice pricing on these trucks now in Canada at least, you are kidding yourself.

Edit. $10k over MSRP is what a dealer would be willing to pay to have such a truck on their lot.

Window sticker populated today!

Ordered from Mark Dodge LA on 10.19.21. Looking forward to it arriving and driving it back to Virginia!

Congrats! I have the same exact truck ordered 10/5 minus night edition. Good to see some mega limiteds getting built. My estimated ship was 1/6 and has been pushed once already. So hoping this is the week for build. The bright side is ordered carli 3.25 for 3500 air suspension on 10 5 also and it shipped today.. this supply thing is crazy… pictures when you get it!

Ok, time for a little rant!

Just got off the phone with Ram Customer Care. My truck has been in shipping status for two weeks now, and when I told the rep that she said she saw that I have an open case and James contacted me with an update via email. I have received nothing beyond the generic email that everyone else has been sent.

I know that wait times are what they are, but it’s more than a little upsetting that they feed us this kind of crap when you call anxious to get news on our trucks. Should at least be able to tell us that the next train leaves on X day. It just amazes me that an operation that big doesn’t have their act together a little better than that!!!

Ugh, messaged RAM chat again this morning and my new ETA to the dealership is 12/25 - 1/8, it just keeps moving out further and further every single time I check. I’m now looking at 7+ months from ordering to arrival at dealership. I’m trying to remain patient and keep the faith, but I’m getting frustrated. It’s just delay after delay after delay. Waiting would be far easier if the estimates were even remotely accurate.

This is the first vehicle I’ve custom ordered and the experience has not been great. Not sure if I’ll do it again. Sorry for the rant, I’m just so disappointed with this latest update. I just really thought I’d have my truck by X-MAS.

The local dealers have EXACTLY the same ability/opportunity to order new trucks as Mark Dodge. MOST SIMPLY DO NOT WANT TO COMPETE. Before I ordered from Mark Dodge, I shopped all four of my local dealers (within ~50 miles). I told them I wanted to place an order for a new truck, and asked for their best deal. Three of them would not commit to anything less than full MSRP, and one offered invoice +$500.. I had bought 1 or more trucks from all three dealers that wouldn't go less than MSRP in the past. It's the individual dealers' choice how they want to conduct business.
thats not exactly true, the small dealers can only order so many vehilces per month, say mark dodge can do 100 a month, a small dealer may only be able to do 5. So off those five orders for example, they need to make a bigger profit to stay in business

So what y'all are saying is in Canada if I want to put a factory order in for a truck this week I'm more than likely paying MSRP, maybe a bit less. Then I'm waiting at least 9 months.
i got very good deal on my 22, i paid msrp on it an got a free set of tires. BUt is what made my deal so good is my trade in! I think that is the key to buying in these times, having a trade in. I got an amazing trade in value plus saved $8000 in taxes from trading my truck in!

Trust Me! FCA, RAM, The Assembly Plant and everyone in the chain has their act together. Yes, they're probably a few slackers in the system as all companies have a few of these, but bad mouthing the folks who are responsible for getting your truck built, shipped and delivered to the dealership isn't going to help with your case. People from RAM, FCA as well as the Assemble Plant in Mexico (and guess what, they too can read and understand English probably better than most on this site can speak/read Spanish) are aware this Forum exists and read it daily..... I just wouldn't want to be on Santa's naughty list if you get my drift..... LOL

If you are truly interested in tracking your vehicle, read this Forum from the beginning. All the answers and players involved have been mentioned and you do not need FCA or Ram to answer your questions. Take some personal interests in researching yourself with the questions you ask. Be Kind to those involved! I'm not going to mention names because I don't want these Members to get inundated with questions as it's not their job to track your order. I can tell you several Members have went out of their way to help me track my vehicle by providing me a Rail Car Number, Rail Company, Rail Yard destination that services my dealership and when my truck was actually driven off the Rail Car.

I wish everyone, especially those with orders from back in May/June time frame get their trucks soon! May all the folks on this Forum have a Blessed and Merry Christmas and a Joyful New Year! And for the folks in Mexico who build these trucks so us Americans can be happy! Feliz Navidad

Why in the World would RAM/FCA want to supply a small dealer with 100 vehicles if they can't move them? Trust me! If that small dealer can move 100 a month, FCA/RAM will supply the vehicles.

How were you able to obtain a FREE set of tires? I gotta know more..... Thanks! Feel free to in box me so we don't tie up this thread.

+1

After all is said & done, My timeline for ordering a new RAM will end up being just a few days shy of six months from order to delivery.

It was a long-drawn-out process and I appreciate all the helpful posts in this forum.

Best wishes to all!

Lots that goes into building a large amount of trucks per day… They are not going to build in sequence order to ship one truck to all parts of the us.. I think it has to do with region/zone and how many trucks they have shipped to dealer.. they do have to keep shipping some vehicles to all dealers so they can make sales to keep the lights on. I do understand dealers having large markups on vehicles if inventory is short they still have to pay sales people and keep the lights on. I think Ram is building inventory trucks and sending to dealers to help them out. If you owned the company and looked at the 30,000 ft view it’s understandable. I did order local and paid a few more bucks for the truck. They have never priced gouged me and always gave me fair deals. Plus I don’t have to do the whole sales bs with them. I can literally get a number and buy a truck in 15 mins. The parts shortages and vehicles with so many different options has got to be a nightmare but I am sure they are doing the best they can do. seems they are focused on the front of the line as well as the back Trying to get back to 6 week deliveries. Just my opinion and I have watched the sheet daily. I think we can all vent and rant in a forum with like minded enthusiast. I’m guilty also……..

Is it me or has production of the 2500 CC Limited's w/ Cummins been in a drought or what?
