Hoping someone else can offer some insight or has heard of something similar before. So a couple of months ago was having intermittent loss of reverse, and sometimes it would go partially into reverse and shudder violently when I would give it throttle. It threw a code for (incorrect reverse gear ratio) After a month or so of this, took to the dealer and they replaced the valve body, clutches, and ABS sensor.
Reverse worked fine for about 200 miles after the rebuild and it started doing it intermittently again, but less than before. Made appt to take it in and it stopped for about 2 weeks. Started again intermittently and as of this afternoon, had absolutely no reverse no matter how much throttle I gave it (yea it was in reverse gear). Left it sitting in the street for about an hour. Went back and started it up and reverse is working like it’s brand new now. If this happens with my 37’ camper hooked up in the mountains, it could be a big problem. Last time I took to the dealer, they had it 6 weeks and resulted in about $12,000 in lost revenue. Really can’t afford to keep leaving my truck there that long is this is my equipment hauler.
Thanks in advance for any and all feedback.
