Anyone mount a MXT275 yet in a current Power Wagon with center console? I am thinking about these spots but not sure. Can't seem to find anything anywhere with this configuration. Spots I am thinking so far. Feedback welcome.

I just have the mx105 but like taking it out when I am not offroading or caravanning. just velcro it to the top of the dash.

Are you looking to mount permanently? I mounted mine directly to the back of the the panel under the steering wheel in front of your knees. There is a metal bracket on that back that worked great to screw it to. Also a good place to run wires out to the firewall

I did want it in there permanently. Got a pic?

Sorry I never got back to you.

I tried to take good pictures without taking the lower cover off.

As you can see there is a structural bar behind there. I had to trim the plastic around the hood release cable hookup point. Then I used the bracket as a template and drilled two small holes in the bar, then used self drilling screws to attach the bracket.

Then the radio could be installed on the bracket. Ran wires out through a grommet to battery and antenna. Mic cable comes out through the little space under the steering wheel. I used a Bulletpoint Mounting mount setup with their Mic mount. Works great.

Got it in its permanent place. Used the same spot most people do under the steering column with a firewall boot to get the antenna through. Two holes with a step bit in this cubby and it fit right in.

This made powering quick. Tapped into the upper dash outlet. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08V4XFP24/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

What Antenna bracket is that? My radio is coming in today and I plan on making my own bracket, but would like to see one to give me a better idea of its design. Thanks!

That looks like a great set up with the mounting system. What length is the arm for the mic holder?

Its the "standard" 7CM long one. The 7 CM designates the length of the rod between the ball mounts and doesn't include the ball mounts. Its roughly 5" overall length and works great with the dual ball mount. If you get the single ball mount that moves the ball towards the center instead you may need one size longer to get it out to where you need it.

Shoot, I ordered the "long" 10 cm, stupid impatience!!!! I emailed them to switch to the 7 cm this morning. I got the dual mount and a GoPro mount too. Thanks for the reply.

How/where did you bring power and the antenna into the console?

So, I powered mine from AUX 6 in-line cab power. ran my antenna through the vent at door and under cab to antenna mounted on top of my transfer tank.
