2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Hoping others from the Nov-10 to Nov-20 Port Allen trains are coming soon, too. @rossagge details about HATA getting their haulers back on the road could help relieve Mark Dodge's backlog.

In all fairness, Sandi told me, and everyone else I believe, expect 1-3 weeks after train arrival and today is 1 day shy of 2 weeks. Smack in the middle of her estimate.
Yup. Fingers crossed for y’all. Mine is still in Saltillo. MD has already been invoiced for all those trucks sitting there, so they want them moved too!

Looks like I have a good chance to get my Truck for Christmas.

Just received this from Sandi at Mark Dodge
Your order arrived at the port on the 29th and waiting to be off loaded then transported to the dealership in Lake Charles. Due to the truck driver shortage, the port only has 5 drivers servicing all the dealerships in Louisiana. It could take up to 3 weeks for it to get moved to the dealership.

It’s a smaller dealership but seems to be decent. This is my first time dealing with them. I’ve owned GM my entire life until this one. I am the Active Duty AF recruiter for the area. Wright Patt is the closest to me and it’s about 3 hours away. Yea I was assuming Lordstown is where it would be headed.
I’m in southern Indiana with the same expected 12/20 according to my dealer. I’m betting we will be on the same train. Never been to Wright Pat but it was on my dream sheet. Did my entire enlistment at FE Warren instead ….

Here you go! Let me know if you want more!
Love the way that looks! I’m coming from a 2015 limited with black interior. The black is hot and shows a lot of wear, so I’m hoping the lighter color helps with both of those things. I’ve had my black leather touched up twice in the 7 years I’ve had it…

Yep. Wasn't expecting it until 11 Dec. So if it gets there sooner that would be a nice surprise. Nice looking truck! My 2020 was Billet Silv. Looks great clean and hides the grime when dirty. Haha.

Yea I would say we should be in the same train. Looks like it’s about 4 weeks in average from the time it ships to dealer. I was at Scott afb for 5 years, Nellis afb for 4 years and been in WV for over 3 now.

You guys and doing some research, I am now going to be putting PPF as the first order of business.

Does anyone put on aftermarket mud flaps? What brands have you guys had success with?
I put a pair of cheap husky’s on my 2015. I don’t think they look too bad. I’m gonna take them off and put them on my new one when it arrives…

HOLY MEGACABS BATMAN!!! Just got the email from Aaron at Mark Dodge. My MegaCab has landed!

I am hoping I can get everything in order to head there Saturday morning to pick it up. Plan to arrive around 11am and on way back to TX soon after. Taking a rental car. The rental office is very close to Mark Dodge so will arrange for them to pick me up there to get over to their lot.

Total time order to dealer: 1 day shy of 13 weeks

Event chronology:
Order 9/2
VIN assigned 9/9
D1 status 10/28
Build sheet 11/5 am
Window sticker 11/5 pm
Train ship 11/6
Train arrival 11/18
Dealer arrival 12/1

I’m planning on…

Fluid Film rust prevention first, then…
PremiumShield PPF over most of the truck (clearbra)…
GlassParency Graphene coating (ceramic)…

…all installed for me.

Also:

Undercover ArmorFlex tonneau
RAM molded splash guards F and R

Cool, thanks!! Look forward to seeing how you like them. I was also looking at Krown for undercoating and see that they and fluid film seem to be tops. thanks again

My equipment listing does not list full length side steps, nor does my window sticker. My equipment listing lists the power deployed running boards as the only mention of running boards at all, as it is part of the level one group. I’m pretty sure there is no redundancy on the equipment listing but I can’t confirm that (meaning it’ll only list one of any option, whichever one your vehicle is supposed to receive). The power deployable running boards are indeed part of the Longhorn level 1 group (unless they have recently pulled them for lack of supply). Did you confirm with your salesperson what was ordered when they submitted your POC? There has already been at least one instance of a member here accidentally getting the chrome running boards over the power deployable ones because the person who submitted the order specifically selected “Full length chrome side steps” as an independent option. When this happens, that independent option trumps the power deployable ones even though they’re included in the level one equipment group. I would be making a call to your dealer.

Thanks for the response. I know I did not select running boards at all, but the chrome ones are listed at $0. I think they come standard on the Long Horns and the Level 1 adds the deployable ones. I’ll ask Sandi to verify for me.

I emailed Sandi to ask about the side step confusion, but has anyone else seen this on an order sheet? Since Level 1 comes with auto deploying steps, I did NOT select an option for any steps to be added (except the one for the tailgate), yet there are both on my sheet.

My luck it was used as a port get around vehicle and they just kept It
I’ve been on roll on/roll off ships (RO/RO’s as they are called in the industry.) In Bremerhaven Germany my cousin took us for a spin in a brand new Mercedes doing do-nuts on the wide open garage decks of one of those ships. I was only a teenager at the time, but I clearly remember thinking “this can’t be okay with many many people. “

Longhorn comes with the steps standard so it shows up but with no charge. Level 1 has the auto deployed steps in the package. So you will get those, not the flat cab length steps.

It looks like those were somehow selected (or the factory did it because of available parts?) and will replace the power deployable I think.
