2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

For those of you ordering trucks in the Eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania area, where Lordstown Ohio will be your truck’s final rail point, the sheet below will give you an idea of what you’re looking at from the KZ to KZ-X part of the process. Of course this is subject to change, but this sheet documents the entire journey my truck took from loading in Saltillo Mexico to Unloading at the dealership. I’m missing the first few entries from Mexico to Oklahoma City OK because I had not yet begun to receive the updates from the rail company.

Hopefully this will give some of you a better idea of the time frame you’re looking at and allow you to better plan for your truck’s arrival.

Mine i think is on Union Pacfic. How did you get such detailed rail information?

Great job!

I've been searching the internet trying to find where RAM is installing the Sub Woofer and the 400 Watt Inverters in today's 2022 RAM 2500 Trucks. Can't seem to find this information because the internet is full of dealer ads for new trucks. Can a Member who has already received their New Truck identify where these two compoents are located? Pictures would be nice as well....

You need two insiders. One to get you the info from Stellantis as to which rail car your truck is loaded in, and another at the railroad to track the rail car by its initials and number. I’m not sure, but I think they all come out of Mexico on BNSF and then ultimately switch to another carrier. Mine road the BNSF network from Saltillo all the way to Chicago, then was interchanged to CSX for the final leg of the journey. Depending on who the final leg carrier is, they should be able to track the cars progress even if it has yet to be switched to their system.

Subwoofer same as the previous models. Under the rear seat on the pass side.

Mine went KZM on 11/02 and will arrive at the dealer in Traverse City, MI this week. Maybe today, maybe not. But I’m at 28 days since it was loaded up and took off from Mexico.

Thanks! I didn't own the previous model. Now to locate the Inverter....
I have a 17 crew cab, so same model cab. Id take a pic for you, but i removed the stock sub and put a 10" on the driver side with an added amp. i never looked for the factory inverter.

How does the spreadsheet get updated? Is it just from what ppl post on this forum?
You can update information as you find it by letting OfficerDirtySanchez know. Your dealer should be providing you updates as to status of your order once these dates are known. RAM Chat can assist in some cases, but I wouldn't bother them on a daily basis, maybe once a month. Once the Truck goes D1 Status things seem to happen pretty quick. Following the spreadsheet kinda gives you an idea of what's being built. Don't expect an magical fairy to provide updates on their own, take notes and ask questions. Lots of awesome members on this site who enjoy helping others. Good Luck!

Was gonna guess behind dash cause that's where most manufacturers put them, but to be 100% checked on Alldata and up to '21-behind the radio/Display Screen Module...behind dash.
The inverter that is.

" I currently have 3 incentives I’d like to use totaling $1,500".

If you dont mind sharing, what rebates are you getting? Just looking for ideas.
Looking at my original POC before the price increases here’s what I see:

ORIGINAL MSRP = $90,740
ORIGINAL FWP = $84,377

EP (Employee Pricing) = $80,358
FFP (Friends & Family Pricing = $83,608
Hold Back = $2,657

Based on that info:

FWP is roughly 7% less than MSRP
EP is roughly 11% less than MSRP
FFP is roughly 8% less than MSRP

My dealer agreed to sell me my truck at FWP minus whatever incentives I qualify for at the time the truck is invoiced. I currently have 3 incentives I’d like to use totaling $1,500. If they honor all three then I’ll be buying a truck at 8.6% less than MSRP and 2% below FWP with incentives calculated in. The dealer is ten minutes from my house, has an excellent service center with capable diesel mechanics whom I’ve used in the past for warranty repairs on my 2017, and I’m keeping the business local. I could have saved a little more by going to one of the dealers selling further below invoice but I chose to trade the extra savings for the time savings and the convenience.

The dealer did not allow me to use any of them. Said that Ram stopped them all as of November, but gave me coupons to match what I would have saved with the incentives, and they also honored the price that was on my POC at the time of purchase. All in all, when I sign the papers tonight, I’ll be buying the truck at 8.2% below current MSRP and they’re ten minutes from my house. I think that’s a pretty good deal and I am extremely pleased with their work.

RAM Chat just verified "all materials needed for your build have been gathered and the build process should start soon". Does that mean anything really?
