Dead battery and Christmas lights after jump

I have a 19 2500 Laramie with the 6.4 that I hadn’t drove for a few days, but not out of the ordinary, always cranked up every time. Went to start it with the Uconnect app and it failed twice. Fine, I’ll start it with the remote. Nothing. Tried my second remote, nothing. Went out to find my 4 month old truck completely dead. Was able to jump it, and was met with the battery, ABS, trailer brake, 4WD, brake, and traction control errors. Of course I lost all my sensors, speedometer, cameras, Sirius XM, climate control could only handle HI or LO. Let it run for a bit then drove it around for awhile, but all the lights remained. It would fire back up with the same lights. Battery voltage was all over the place and the climate fan was fluctuating. I drove it to my local dealer, and upon exiting, I had a strong burning smell. I then drove into the service bay and the advisor noticed it too. I’m waiting for the HD team to get to it Monday. I’ve read a few things relating to flat out bad batteries, instrument clusters staying on, to software updates being the culprit. Has anyone experienced any of this before? Thanks in advance.
 
No burning smell but it was pretty cold out. I did not attempt to jump start the truck given a concern that there was something wrong with the elect system.

Cummins no start in the COLD!

So my otherwise trouble free truck failed to light the fire this morning. It was round about -35C. Block heater had been plugged in for about four hrs. The grid heater preheat cycled and then,"SNAP!" (same kinda sound ya get when a relay goes) Then the "Service Fuel Filter" msg flashes up on the...

Yeah, 2 dead batteries would be a raise for concern. Ever happened again?

Good deal. Of course my dealer isn’t looking at it until tomorrow, but the truck is still reporting its location upon my request in the app, so the battery hasn’t died again. Will report back tomorrow.
 
Update: Dealer found a discharged battery, recharged the battery, tested good, load tested the charging system, tested good. No power draws found. Vehicle returned to me. We’ll see if it happens again.

I run a dash cam from the front plug. Checked the dated footage to see if perhaps it glitched to stay on and killed the battery over a few days. Big negative. Something killed it. I’ll be keeping a close eye on her for sure. Will update if anything else arises.
 
With all the crazy electrical stuff you never know. My wifes Honda had a glitch that if you put the electric emergency brake on after you turned the carotid, it would drain the battery overnight. They did a software update to fix it.

That seems oh-so familiar. Did they charge you for the service?
