Spare should be a full size but 18 inch not 20 inch.Happy Thanksgiving. To the folks that have taken delivery of NE Laramie with 20” wheel, what does the spare tire wheel consist of? Is it a match to the other four or a donut? I placed an order for 4 Continental Terrain Contact AT’s yesterday. I’m wondering if I should order a 5th to swap out the spare.
Tires on ground on previous 2500 Limited were LT285/60R20 LR=E Firestone Transforce AT. Spare was a Firestone Transforce HT (not AT) LT275/70R18 LR=E on a steel rim. These are same as 18 inch OE, same load capacity and almost same diameter. As I recall it did not have a TPMS sensor.
P.S. - To answer the other part of your question, you could put a full size 20 inch spare under there on a 20 inch wheel, but it gets pretty dirty and if you dont rotate tires it will age out of usability. Sons F150 spare (tire dated circa 2006) never got used and blew out unused with full tread after only a few days when he had to put it down in 2020. Better in my mind to leave spare as is.
P.P.S. - Not sure if you are using oversize tires / odd rims that oversize spare will fit underneath.
