So my salesman sent me the fca invoice for my truck and it was higher than the price on my first POC to which he said I was locked into that price. The price apparently jumped up right when they placed my order. Told me he would talk to his manager about still honoring the original price though. Today I asked him about the true car and penfed discounts/rebates and how some dealers would still honor it even if it went past the 11/30 expiration date. I can’t get my penfed rebate for a couple weeks and if he would honor the true car after the 11/30 date I would wait a bit longer to save more money. I am also military and with all three that’s a nice $1500 off the price. He just told me that his system wouldn’t let him combine either of those with my military discount. Anyone else run into that where the “system” wouldnt allow any other rebates to be used with the military one?

Pulled this Directly from the true car email I received. It’s ridiculous! But unfortunately that does say it can’t be combined.

Thanks I appreciate it. I’ll have to look and see if the penfed one has something similar to that. That is kind of ridiculous but wanted to see if anyone else had run into the same thing.

Penfed one is through truecar also from what I’m seeing so also not eligible to combine with the military program.

I agree. I think I’m going to be in a similar situation because it lists “small business member” programs and that was another $500 off for me. I know it’s not much $$ in the grand scheme of things but every little bit helps. The way things are inflating right now I’ll save every penny I can as long as it doesn’t compromise capability, safety, or profitability.

Exactly! It’s not going to make me walk away or anything but I was excited to hopefully get another $1,000 off the price. Idk maybe I can talk him into giving me some coupons to knock it down like I’ve seen others do for their customers.

In my case the two incentives combined will only offset the price increase from the time of the order.
We will see how the dealer handles the price increase when the truck arrives.

Just curious if you live in Tennessee as to why you ordered from Navarre in Sulfur rather than Mark Dodge in Lake Charles. Roughly same distance from Tn. Granted I almost bought from Navarre and they seemed like a good place to buy, but how did you find them when everyone else buying remotely seems to be talking about Mark Dodge?
